Bought a used 02 indi blue MC from a used car dealership a couple miles off-base of where I'm stationed in Quantico, Virginia (US). I had never driven a standard before but I fell in love with Cici right away and learned how to drive standard when I took her for a test drive. Even though I know she is going on 10 years here soon, she is my passion right now. I am in the process of fixing her cosmetics and making her ride even smoother than she does now. I'll be posting pictures of my progress. Awesome site, glad to be here.

3. holler when you want to drive it at it's limits -- there are folks here that can hook you up to the autocross scene, which is pretty much the limit of Mini fun when the driver is fully dressed...

Thanks Charlie for the reply. It's nice to get a warm welcome to a new place. I'm afraid I wont be taking her to the limits anytime soon, alas, she is turbocharger-less with 86k on her. She is more of an introduction to motoring and will use her until she is grey and old and then trade her in for a hot trust fund baby.

 

It doesn't matter if you go light speed or not, it's the thrill you get out of driving a mini. Enjoy it and have fun. Congrats, and welcome.
