Hello everyone.

I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Rob. I'm on my 2nd MCS. Live in Hawaii, so I have plenty of days to ride with the top down. I have been a car fanatic my whole life. Looking forward to sharing and receiving knowledge from the community.

Welcome Rob. I sold my BMW 3 series convertible to buy my '09 MINI MCS convertible and have enjoyed my 7 months of motoring bliss. These are great convertible sports cars!!

We are having an unusually wet, cold, cloudly winter thus far in Atlanta and Hawaii sure sounds good to me right now....Happy Motoring!!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Have many plans for the car, but have to pace myself a little. The next big project is the suspension. I want to take 1-1.5" of gap from the fenders. Had a 07 525i sport.....the stance was perfect. I guess 5 yrs in Germany ruined me. These run flats ride like a rock over here, so they will prob have to go when the tires need to be replaced.

Welcome and congrads on your new R57... Interchange Yellow is one awesome color.

Question #1: Do you have any pics of your "50th side scuttles"? Would love to see them?

Question #2: Do you know the part number for both sides as well?

Question #3: Price as well?

When you replace the factory scuttles, you have to buy the carriers and the inserts Union Jack, JCW, 50th etc. The inserts are changable once you buy the carriers. The kit retails for about 160 at the dealer.

BMW part# is 51 13 0 414 453. That is the kit. How do I become a member of the R57 Interchange Y club?

Very nice scuttles. I like.

As for joining us in the R57 IY Club, come on by and visit us at: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...talk-2009-187/

There really isn't a IY club per say (beyond this: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ners-club.html), but it's a very unique color and there are a bunch of us participing in the R57 area... It will be nice to add one more IY owner to the list.

According to the "The Open One" Mini Convertible contest site, there were 37 IY Mini's that had registered. Click here http://www.theopenone.com/map then select Mini Color and then IY. I'm sure there are more.
