Changes?
Can you change somthing as simple as tire choice once car has entered production? I really do not want runflats.
Had NO idea did not come with a spare if you chose them, or that they seem to be such a crap tire.
EDIT: Nevermind, already spoke with my MA. The Justa comes with a spare! SO will just eat the runflats up and move on. And no changes once in production!

I've had absolutely zero problems with my runflats. Frankly, I'm a little saddened by the herd mentality here that the RFs are now basically seen as the tires of the Antichrist. "Why do you hate runflats?" "Because everyone else does!"
I just really wanted to be sure to have a spare. That spooked me, but learned the "no spare" with runflats does not apply to a Justa. Phew! That was the icing on the bad review. Other than that I don't mind til they need replacing.
I'm not on the "i hate runflats" bandwagon but when I bought my R53 two needed to be replaced (they had bubbles in the sidewall) and when I saw the price of new ones compared to a more high-performance non-runflat I'd rather have a cheaper, better performing tire. But I drive my car hard daily and my car is modded so a stickier tire was more appealing to me also. Just my two cents..
With runflats and roadside assistance, why so insistent on a spare?
Why are you "saddened"? Silly comment. If you like your runflats, more power to you. But I have to ask - have you ever driven an MC with "normal" tires? If not, how do you know that you wouldn't be happier with far better ride quality, better handling, better turn-in, and an all-around 1000% better driving experience? If you've tried and still prefer your runflats, that's fine. If you haven't, then you have NO idea why those of us who absolutely despise the horrible things hate them so much.

i am not following any herd, even the cheapo nitto neogens seemed better than rfs, the gs-d3s seemed way better. i had 2 sets of oem rfs and they always bubbled on sides and were difficult to fine tune psi adjustments due to stiff sidewall. i think you may not be driving the mini to its fullest to notice, daily driving you may not notice anything but that the rf's are harsher ride, on the twists there is a whole new crop of tires that are 10 times better. i won't even mention how much better the toyo r888s are.

Plus if I ever chose to get away from runflats, or when I have snow tires on, I would have a spare.
How about an update? Is your car done yet? Is it ready for the boat?

My comment isn't any sillier than naming a car after a hillbilly.
The only MC cars I've ever driven would be loaners from the dealer. I never bothered to check to see what kinds of tires they were on. However, my '05 MCS had RFs when I got it and we switched to non-RFs when we got new wheels. That is how I know. Was I "far happier"? No. Was the ride quality far better? No. So I still think its merely the power of suggestion that has so many of you despising the horrible things you hate so much. 100% better? Give me a break!
Car finished production yesterday! Now just waiting it's turn for a ride across the pond.
"Jethro" isn't a hillbilly, it's Jethro Tull, my great-great-great (or some number of greats) grandfather. If you don't know who he was, look it up. Please give the personal insults a rest.
So you have experienced runflats/non-runflats on the same car, and are happy. You are the first and only person I've encountered that feels this way, but more power to you. But no need to feel "saddened" that me and many others abhor them, just be happy that you've made the right choice for you.
Are you always so nice?

Jethro Bodine is a hillbilly. He lived in Beverly Hills. If you don't know who he was, look it up. You never indicated that the Jethro you refer to was from your ancestry.
The reason I made sure I quoted you in my response is to show that YOU started it. So don't act as if I did, when it was you. Just because you don't agree with what I said gives you no right to say it is silly; how insulting!!
And haven't you ever heard that you shouldn't tell people how to feel? Anyway, if you expect to be rude and get away with it, try it on someone besides me.TBH, I really couldn't care less about everyone dissing on the RFs. I actually find it humorous. The other people I know (yes, there are indeed others) who like their RFs chuckle about it.
I pulled some figures from Tire Rack, based on their customer surveys, can’t say all of them are on this forum.
