Hi All,
Finally my day has come.

I am a new owner of a new (to me) 2002 Cooper S named "Electra" (for her Electric Blue paint).

I have been wanting one since around 2000 when they first announced they were coming to America in 2002, so it's kind of interesting I would buy an '02.

Found the car less than a mile from home (Northville, Michigan), and actually the people are neighbors of my cousin.

39K miles on the car, lots of nice options/features on it, and I got such a screaming deal it makes me wonder if something is wrong...or it was my destiny?

Welcome... That should be a unique car in MI. I lived up there near Pelston for a very long snow filled winter, and I could have sworn that my Import was the first nonamerican car people had seen in a while!! I did not have my MINI back then.....it was back in '99.
Good luck and welcome. If you get a chance, hook up with a local MINI group, and go for a drive with them... It will put a smile on your face....and everyone you pass when 50 MINI's drive by!!!
