Week 40 of 2009 Super Support Thread
Great! Same story here- completed production a day early (10/3), passed quality control, and waiting for transport. The rep I talked to made sure I understood that they no longer can track the car- must be getting tired of hearing from me.
So now on to trying to figure out how to isolate which ship she's on. So far no luck, but at least it's something new to obsess about.
Cheers!
Jay

Another thread said to go to this web site and put our VIN in as tracking ID:

Nothing for mine yet but I would imagine nothing would show up until later in the week.

Metal grey Sriracha is now Chili Red Sriracha, as he made his tour of the paint shop yesterday!
Scheduled completion is tomorrow, so I'm not sure if today would be more paint shop, internal assembly day, or QA day. Can't wait!!!

What week am I? What Ship am I?
Greetings, I've found these forums hugely helpful. My MA gave me a VIN and production # right out of the box and said it was starting production 10/3. I called the 866 number and they just told me it's completed (10/5!) and at the port of exit. Great news, but nobody knows any more. Looking at the WW schedule, the next ship for the West Coast is 10/9, the Turandot. KK Line looks like they don't go to the West Coast, so I think this is what ship I'll be on. Am I right, or is there another way for my vehicle to get to the dealer in Sacramento, CA? Also, what week does this make me?
I think you're right on target Patrick. I'd assume the Turandot for all of us on the West Coast unless the VIN's don't check out for some reason. But we probably won't know for sure until someone's VIN gets processed. So I guess we keep plugging our numbers into the WW site until we get confirmation. When I spoke to the ASK MINI people today, they said it's now in the hands of the Dealer to let us know how our car is getting to them (what ship/carrier) so I'm going to pursue that angle as well.
With all of us converging on this I'm sure we'll know something pretty soon. And I think, like the rest of us, you're a solid week 40.

YIPPEE!!! On the Undine!
Just checked WW this morning and my car is at the terminal, booked on the Undine for arrival in NY on 10/16!
Who else is partying with Clive on the ship? He's buyin' the first round

Miracles do happen.
My car has mysteriously shown up at the port of exit.
I missed out on the entire process of following the build due to a lack of any person or site being updated. Probably saved me some stress anyway.
Now, let's see if my MINI can stow away on the Independence bound for South Carolina.

Congrats! All you East Coasters get a head start on us... gonna be early November before we get a ride! Ah well, at least by then we'll know what to expect from the 2010 loveliness! Not to mention the revised interest rates...

The WW site does not have my VIN in it's database yet. I wonder if it will make the Independence since it departs tomorrow.
One can only hope.
It's still convertible weather till dang near mid December down here in South Tx so I can get at least a month or so of comfortable airy motoring.
Then when it gets too cold I'll just load it up into the back of my 4x4 truck and show it off that way.

VIN in Cargo ID?
Likewise mine has not shown up on the WW website yet. Just to check, am I supposed to put the VIN into the Cargo ID? Someone said put just the last 7 in. I even tried the last 5, but if I do, I get a list of other makes and models of cars that have been shipped for the last year or so!
