Radio quality

I was wondering... how is the sound quality of the radio of your Mini? I tried changing the setup, changing stations, AM/FM and the quality is not that great --- any suggestions?

Go aftermarket.
To me it sounds fine and I only have the 3.5 speakers and tweets on front door (no rear speakers), but I'm no audiophile either. To me generic external computer speakers sound fine

I have the MINI Hifi option and I am generally pleased with the sound. I have heard better but my MINI is a convertible and the sound is decent with good highs due to the A pillar tweeters and decent bass from the woofers included with the Hifi option.

Sound quality is objective and you will find many posts both negative and positive. I did listen to both the standard system and the extra for the Hifi was worth it to me.

I have installed aftermarket upgrades to cars in the past but have no plans to do so on the MINI at this time as the quality is sufficient to me.

Happy Motoring
