I just purchased a JCW Clubman - I live in SW WI but had to travel to Milwaukee to get Rupert.

I do have some issues, though... hoping someone can help.

We went to buy on the 23rd. Told we could not do the "CARS (Cash for Clunkers) until final rule came out on the 24th. We absolutely qualified for this deal. Was told deal had been submitted on Mon, July 27. However, would not release vehicle until it was approved. On Tue, the 28th, they gave me the alternative of signing 2 contracts - one CARS deal, one 3yr financed, and if CARS deal was approved by Mon, Jul 31, fine. Signed both contracts and got Rupert on 28th.

Fri, Aug 14, I asked dealership for exact date/time CARS deal had been submitted. Also asked for any confirmation/denial #s for the transaction. I advised dealership of rule stating they had to take possession of clunker and release Mini at time of transaction. 2 days later, I asked again and advised dealer I was ready to go to bbb. Was told (very quickly) that no deals had been approved, but he would get info to me asap. Still no answer as of this date.

Any suggestions on any of this? I would have bought Rupert even w/o the CARS deal, but I feel as if I was "lured" to this dealership and this deal.

I LOVE Rupert! It took a few days of driving to learn his true identity... always wanted a Mini, and now here he is!

I have performance tires on him now but will need winter tires. Any suggestions on where to purchase? (I will check out all forums shortly, just thought I'd ask!). Also, where is a good place to buy good quality parts - I need a boot protector (3 big dogs!), and mud/stone flaps, maybe the storage unit to replace the rear seats. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed!

I apologize for the long message, but had to try to see if anyone had ideas about my deal. And, of course, I have to say greetings - I'm a Mini owner, too!
