Sudden Oil Leak

I noticed that i had a trail of oil down the driveway the other day, placed cardboard under the motor and had a few drops of oil over 24 hours. Brought it to my mechanic and put it up on a lift no leaks until we reved to 1500 RPM then its started leaking heavily, we think it might be a main bearing seal. Anyone ever seen this before? HELP, I;m scheduled at the Mini dealer next week.

yup but not as bad as you described.....

Replaced Main Bearing seal on pulley side at 74K miles, same time I replaced the 03 Crank Pulley with the OEM Crank Pulley from an 06 which is better made and 3 lbs lighter......and replaced the pulley tensioner assembly while adding the Alta Tensioner Stop.

Figured as long as all that stuff was taken apart, may as well do it all in one shot. Got my all my OEM parts from Pete at www.Minspeed.net

Hey thanks, my '03 MC only has 63K on the odometer, suspect main bearing seal as the culprit causing the leak.
