Oh, happy day!!!
Customer relations just told me the news I've been hoping for: "Your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit." So, unless the train derails, or there is a wildcat strike, Twiggy ought to be loaded on the Porgy tomorrow. Wonderful!
This week has been so much easier to navigate through thanks to all of the input from people in this Week 34 Group and a couple other threads I monitor.
Here is a picture of Minis loaded onto a train. The sides do get covered up, so you don't have to worry about your precious Mini getting shot at.

Will you be watching the Porgy dock at 10:30pm PST? It docks just to the left of the So'ton webcam. I will most likely watch it dock with my lady friend in LA while we talk on webcam.

BTW... Who's got two thumbs, and entered the Paint Shop today?
Well, could be tomorrow technically, since I just called right before ASK-MINI closed just now and it's almost 2am there. I'm still showing a completion date of Saturday though. But I'm thinking early Saturday, and plenty of time to catch a train!

Now.... Will you be monitoring the radio chatter as well?
Cruiseship "Artemis" about to cross, and then the Porgy, at the first webcam, from right to left:

Great to know you will be on the ship.
I didn't know you guy were watching the Porgy come in as well!
When the cruise ship went by, my lady friend in LA was like, "oh wow, its lit up." Then when the Porgy went by, it only had a row of like five little lights.

Well UAL, now look what you've done... I may stay up half the night watching the Porgy as she docks
- and then maybe awhile longer as she starts loading cars if I can find a link to a camera at the Southampton dock
.
I am amazed at all the ships in that area. It was a little disappointing to find the Porgy was running with lights out - but tomorrow when she sets sail for America at 10:00 am PDT, we should be able to see her much better.
I wonder how many other production groups have as many people who are this hooked on the trials and tribulations of their MINIs?

I will not stay up late tonight to watch the "loading."
People here were wondering if I ever go to sleep. I woke up at like 1am last night to use the restroom. Getting back in bed, I decided to make a post on the forums. Then I woke up at 4:30am and made a post before I got ready to go to work. People looked at the time stamps on my post and think I don't go to sleep.

If you guys get a chance, please make a screen capture of the webcam image of the Porgy going to its berth. The Porgy should approach on the left side of those tugs on the So'ton webcam

I doubt we even see the Porgy on that camera - it only takes a picture once every ten minutes.
Listening to the VTS radio chatter enhances the experience of watching the ships come in via the live map and webcams.

I'll try that.
If I click the manual refresh button on the Southampton webcam camera image, will that give me the current image? The note sounds like it only automatically updates the picture every 10 minutes.
In any case, I will get a screen shot when the Porgy gets in the area of the camera.

Yep. I can see that the picture will only change once per ten minutes no matter how often you hit the button. But, like you said, it will slow down as it gets close to the dock.
Sleep tight - and have lots of dreams of driving your girlfriend's new MINI.

Porgy has a sister ship, Bess. Each of them has a cargo capacity of 550 cars, or 150 cars and 510 trucks (I know, that doesn't add up - but that information is from the Wallenius website).
I hope Twiggy gets a window cabin.
