Week 34 (8/17-8/23/2009) Support Group
Hard to tell but I think the tugs are off. Two are definetely off but the other one may still be there or just pulled up next to the Elektra's berth to wait a while. I don't want to put emphasis on the inaccuracy of the AIS system in place.
Like I said, looks like it is off based on distance before and now, but it is still hanging around the area.

But she's already moored to the berth so you'll just see a green diamond at the VDC in Jersey City. She's the next pier North of the site titled 'Military Ocean Terminal' (even though it is no longer military ocean terminal) as the way at the end of the pier (east/right)

You can try to watch MINI get rolled off by using the WW Tracking site:

I know my bill of lading # is GB928473 but there is another set of MINIs on there under a different #. I think Y2k previously posted both booking numbers on the ELEKTRA.
---------------
Found them:
GBSOU763952 284 vins = Bill of Lading GB928473
GBSOU757754 202 vins
---------------
(the booking number is associated with MINIs booked on the ship while the bill of lading lists the MINIs that actually made it onto the ship. My bookin number: GBSOU763952 had 264 scheduled to be on but the Bill of lading: GB928473 shows 283. As you scroll through the Booking number results the last entry, the last mini listed, was returned to shipper...must've gotten damaged)

I feel bad for that one little guy returned. I had to triple check to make sure it wasn't mine and I had missed that whole thing!
I have been waiting so anxiously for this day!!!!!
I think Y2k mentioned NY/NJ might do it a batch update, as in they all get the same status update at the same time. If that's true we won't see a dynamically changing list.
Found this about the VDC. Be forewarned....picture #15 will bring a tear to your eye.

Supposedly. In Southampton the status updated as cars were being loaded. It was pretty fun watching them slowly enter the ship via the tracking.

Thats kind of a bummer about the batch update.. I wanted to watch the slowly leave the boat!

ELEKTRA is still scheduled to leave that berth at 2:00pm. The sched. hasn't been updated wince the 8th but she did arrive on time as scheduled.
Note the first step is to get the cars off the ship and onto the berth. They then have a short drive to the VDC near the base of the pier.

We all hope and pray that our cars come thru with no damage - certainly not as bad as that poor MINI that needed a new roof!
Still nothing on the tracking sites. ELEKTRA was due to depart her berth at 2:00 but she hasn't moved.

They say "no news is good news", but for the past several hours, without any updates to https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...ckSearchResult showing cars being unloaded, "no news" is just plain nervewracking. Hang in there East Coasters!

I just want to know that my little MINI made it safe and sound and is here in the states! Common NYC! Update the site!

Please erase message #560 from your minds and focus on your new arrival. Happy thoughts please.
