Ordered Our First Mini Today, 2010 Clubman S

Placed an order today for my wife's Pure Silver Clubman S. We had never driven one and just had BMW's for the last 13 years. All it took was one drive and we were sold, what a blast. We went to Mini of Charleston thinking we would get a Dark Silver or Sparkling Silver but the Pure just looked so good. Got it pretty well loaded up, 6 speed, Premium, Sport, Convenience, Cold Weather, Leather (Tuscan) and some other goodies. By the way, they changed the Premium package for 2010 and added Harman Kardon stereo to the package. We were able to place the order but no pricing for the car yet but looks like it will be Sept production. Tuscan and Pure Silver sounds a little strange but we love each and hope they go together. Got Anthracite headliner so it's mostly black on the inside anyway with the floor, pilars and liner all black. Anyway, can't wait now to get it. Only issue is the dealer is 120 miles from Columbia, SC so I hope the quality is good.

Congrats!

I love light interiors, and I wish MINI had a few more light leather options than just Tuscan. I'm sure it'll look fanstastic with PS, though!

I agree they need more options on leather, they need a gray and a probably a solid red leather like BMW. We definitely would have ordered either but the black is too dark in South Carolina (get's so damn hot) and the lighter colors seem to make the interior look bigger.

I too am a light interior guy and have had several Sand leather BMW interiors which is similar to Tuscan Beige. I was nervous if the Tuscan Beige would look OK with dark silver on the MINI convertible I ordered. Check out my gallery.

I am happy with the combination and Mercedes and Jag have had tan leather interiors mixed with silver and gray exteriors for years. BMW used to offer only blacks, grays and some reds with silver and gray cars but now it is common to have tan interiors with silver and gray BMW's. Honda has also mixed tan and silver or gray for years. So IMHO - relax and enjoy making your MINI YOUR MINI.

I have driven BMW's for years and sold my 2000 323 convertible when I ordered the MCS Convertible in April. I was worried if I would regret the decision after the newness wore off. I can report that I am still looking for excuses to drive and thoroughly enjoy the MINI. Some think I am crazy to sell a pristine BMW convertible but I look at the MINI as still a BMW at heart and it is just too much fun!

Happy Motoring!

Congrats! Also 120 miles away from MINI of Charleston, but that didn't stop us from ordering ours. 3 years and no problems.

gawannamini, I looked at your gallerybefore ordering and your Mini looks great. I also own a E93 335i Titanium Silver with Saddle Brown Leather so we kind of knew what it would look like. I see a lot of the Space Gray BMW's with the Beige Leather and it looks good in my opinion. My 335 has the leather that repels 60% of the heat (so they say) so my seats really don't get hot with the top down.

Thanks BMW13. I was a little concerned until I saw one but have no regrets. My 323 convert was Orient Blue with Sand leather and I thought I would get the MINI in Horizon Blue with Tuscan - but the Horizon was not nearly as dark "in person" as it appeared on the website so I went with the Dark Silver.

You have a 335 convertible - color me jealous. I will have one some day and have owned three BMW 3 series convertibles in the past. I truly love the MINI but that 3.5L twin turbo and retractable hard top are just amazing! Our family car is a '06 530.

LadyGodiva, how you like the Oak trim? Looks like our cars are pretty much speced the same except the exterior color and I didn't get the Tuscan highlights on the shifter or stearing wheel. Didn't get the same wheels as you because those look really hard to keep clean and our MA said his are (same as yours).

I love the English Oak trim! It's nice and dark. I think it looks classy.

I would have ordered the black web spokes if they had them in '08. I LOVE those. I'm considering getting mine painted to look like 'em. I don't think they are any harder to keep clean? Pretty much all the MINI wheels get dirty fairly quickly. I just use simple green and a wheel brush.

New 2010 Mini McS, dark silver, tuscan beige, premium, auto, english oak trim

Car will be one of first cars delivered to Mini Fort Myers , new dealer opening end of October 2009. Tried to request pure silver but no longer available so ordered dark silver; have seen several dark silver cars on the highway but not with tuscan beige. Note: ordered as part of his inventory. How do you like your tuscan beige with dark silver?. PS I've also ordered English oak trim.

Not sure of what's now included with Premium package.

Build date was probably last week; Does the premium package include the Harmon Kardon upgrade or is the upgraded stereo a separate $ upgrade?
My dealer is not yet a formal announced dealer; will be within the next three weeks. "Mini of Fort Myers".

HK is included for production starting week 41 according to posts I have read. I was week 36 so I will have the basic stereo unless I get a suprise which I doubt.

Premium package, does it have upgraded stereo?

Our car was built last week, does the premium package have the new upgraded stereo or is the upgraded stereo a separate $ option? Have VIN number from "new dealer". Any way of knowing from VIN number if upgraded stereo is included in build. Build sheet not yet received by dealer.

Check out my gallery. I have Dark Silver with Tuscan and I like it. I was nervous until I saw one. The lighter color really brightens up the interior.

BMW 13 that Tuscan interior looks great with the Tuscan. Just curious = what radio did it come with?

I got the standard radio. I'm suprised at all the bitching about the sound quality, my wife and I think it is pretty good. Maybe they upgraded the speakers. Lady Godiva, I posted pictures under Pictures of My 2010 MCCS. I have not added to the gallery, how do you do that?

Same as you buddy. I don't get my car til the end of the week, so I haven't got to listen to my radio yet and compare to a 2009. But you think they improved it just a bit? Wonder if the channel swap is still in order for the 2010, or if they sorted that out and put it right.
