New here

Hey guys, I've been in and out of the site now for a couple of months but I finally registered up today. Thought I would say hi and thank you guys for some helpful threads that I've looked through.

Here's a little about my coop, I have an '05 pw cooper which I've just started to modify in the past couple months. I bought the car shortly after Christmas and have been in love ever since. My modifications so far have only been for aesthetics and involve a stubby antenna, tints all around (except for the windshield obviously), and most recently some 18' riax wheels with low pro tires.

Soo, I really don't know what's next on the list but I can definitely see that this is going to get addicting very fast I'm thinking of maybe trying to fit some halo/projection lights or maybe some bonnet stripes (although I don't think they look nearly as good on pw) Let me know what you guys think and nice to be part of the community finally!

My 05

I just bought an 05 a few weeks ago. I have been online trying to find way to improve mine as well.. With little in the funding department, how much did you pay for your tinting? I doubt I will worry about the rims any time soon, but I am looking for ideas. Mine is Silver with a black top. I have waited since they came out to get me one and I LOVE MINE.. Used or not.. And I noticed the thread about the gas issue..Did you buy your's running premium or regular. I bought mine running regular.. In anyevent, would love to hear how your experience has been since you have had yours a little while longer than me.

Hey Mariann, to be completely honest, I really don't remember how much the tints were exactly, but i think it was in the $150 range....not too bad for something that imo drastically improves the look of the car. And about the gas issue, I have to put 91 octane or higher in mine which puts me into the premium gas bracket :( I just think of the good gas mileage being a tradeoff for more $$ at the pump. But since I've owned the car I have loved everything about it. Even to this day I get a smile on my face everytime I jump in that thing.

Good luck with yours and happy motoring

Mark

Thanks guys I went ahead and ordered some headlights last thursday so hopefully by the end of the week I should receive them and hopefully get the halos all wired up. I'll post pics when it's all done.

Also, I can't get over how much I love my car. Does anyone else get out of their car only to turn around and gaze at it for a minute or two? Just last weekend driving to boston I had people giving me the thumbs up and commenting on it. Ahhh I love these cars!

YES!!!!!!!!

Yes, I do the same thing.. I also stare out my window from the house occassionally when I am not driving it..=) This car was just one of those things you know you were meant to oggle over.. And let me tell you, I oggle.. I smile when I get in it and unhappy on days I don't get a chance to drive it.. But boy does she need a bath after all this rain we have had.. I hope everyone has a marvelous week.. I actually get paid this week so I am hoping to enjoy mine.. OH BTW, I ordered Abby her license plate today from Europlates.com. I hope to have it in 2 weeks.. Now, to save money for the more expensive items.. OH, if anyone comes across any used but in better condition than mine light covers, mine are really cloudy.. I dont know if they can be cleaned or not, so if anyone has done that let me know..

Thanks

Mariann
