So here is my situation: I am about to be a proud Chilli Red MCSC owner, but want to know where she might be !!

My purchase process was this - the dealer did not have an exact match of what I wanted but they located one that was coming on a boat, with a configuration I was quite happy with.

MA told me the boat should have docked on July 6th and reach the dealer in San Diego in ~5days (so I assuming this meant the VDC in CA). Now, since this was not an order, I do not have any purchase # or VIN number etc. So I cannot use the owner's lounge to track the car. I emailed/left a message for the MA, but haven't had reply yet.

Hence I was wondering if someone else expectantly waiting for their Mini around this time have any info on which ship was supposed to arrive yesterday and if it indeed arrived at all?

I am also not very sure which production week this would be then - I guess I can find out once I get the VIN number, but getting impatient meanwhile :razz:

 

I couldn't find anything because the schedules are already updated past the date you're looking for. If you are still curious, try calling the Port Hueneme folks and ask them. See if Will is available. I bet he could tell you. If you talk to him, mention the guy who took a tour to see his MINI on May 29th (Me) told you to call.

@SteelersFan: Thanks for looking into this. But just a min ago, got a call from the dealer saying the car has arrived !!! Will be a CROC very soon.

Now trying to decide if to get it today itself and finance the entire amount or wait 2 days to wire a larger money down to the dealer and get it on Sat ?
MA will be out for the next two days.

Anyone knows if there is a pre-payment penalty with Mini financing ?
