New Clubman S: Stripes?

New Clubman S: Stripes?
Just ordered a Clubman S, BRG, silver top. My daughter tells me I have to get silver bonnet stripes. But . . . how do they hold up, since they're not paint? How will they look in five years? ( I tend to keep cars a long time). Any thoughts? Thanks!

The stripes will last for 5 years, there might be chips and dents in the stripes, but all in all, they will stay on and look decent. My stripes have been on for 4 years with out any damage to them. Luckily, if your stripes start to peel or get a chip (tear) in them, they are cheap and easy to replace.
