Question about taking delivery (timeframe to get it)

Is there a maximum time that the car can be at the dealer before taking delivery of it. It looks like my MINI will be arriving before I can drive it (knee surgery.) I'm willing to pay for it then have it sit at the dealer until I can drive. I think it'd be about 2 weeks from when it arrives, to when I can drive again, do you think MINI will let me take up a spot at the dealership for that long?

I can't answer your question, but I would have someone drive it home for me. In that way I could get the satisfaction of at least sitting in it.... and pretending to drive. Then again, that is just what I would do because I'm not lucky enough to already own a 2003 BRG/W .

I know its selfish, but I want to be the one to drive it off the lot. You only get one chance to do that, and I want that honor.

They should work with you

Jeremy,
I'd guess that with car sales slow no matter what the brand or model, that inventories are down and all dealers have extra lot space. Just tell your MA what's up and I'm confident that they'll make arrangements for you. Good luck with the surgery
