Ceramic pads don't produce brake dust like the cheapos. Welcome to the family and enjoy your ride! I have not kept a mini long enough to replace pads so I don't know but that's what I have read. There is a wealth of knowledge here.
Enjoy!

Do a search in the forums for break pads. I just read a recommendation a few days ago but I can't remember where it was (since I don't need them yet).

Welcome freeland169 to NAM-land from MAD-town, WI. Where do you live?

Ceramic pads are the preferred replacement option.

Down-shifting will make the pads last longer...

1st of all, thanks for the quick reply for all the NAM members, and i did research the brake pad in here... I probably will go for EBC or Axxis Ultimates ( I tried the Axxis on my 02 WRX before)
at the meanwhile, I saw some NAM members mentioned about the brake pad warning sensor. I want to know what's about it, and does it mean I do not have to replace the brake pad if the warning light does not turn on yet. My warning light does not turn on yet, but i do hear the sound from the brake pad!!!

Brake wear warning sensor? must have been bundled with the option for muffler bearings.

There is a warning diagnostic on the onboard computer that will alert you when your brake pads are worn down too far. If the sensor trips there is a reset procedure that you'll have to look up (if you replace the pads/rotors by yourself). Bottom line: Catch it before the sensor trips.
