Nope, I was real good. I called ahead to make sure my MA wasn't busy. She took me to the service area. She started to point out which one was mine, I gave her a funny look and she stopped. I snapped off a picture (couldn't really do a bunch since I'm on crutches and hopping around the service bay was probably a bad idea.) Said thanks for letting me see it, we talked about when I'll be taking delivery, which won't be til next Friday probably :(. And away I went.

I do believe my wife's car was on the Fedora along with Jeremy's. Both were unloaded at the NY/NJ port. I'm waaaay closer than Jeremy. I should at least have some info on it from him (according to the woman at ASK-MINI) And I can't even get my MA to answer the phone or emails. VERY disappointed in him

Just in case you happen to google your name mr. Gregg Gennari (of Mini of the Hamptons). I want it to lead you here. And don't worry, when I pick the car up, I'll let you know how sorry I was that I didn't buy from Habberstad!

I now wish we had waited for a '10 model. The guy is the typical BS salesman

I'm done venting!

Congratulations on your 'vert! I love that yellow.
Best wishes for the knee!

Your MA sucks. Mine sent me an email to let me know it went into production. And she alerted me when it got scheduled for a truck along with an estimated date of getting to the dealer. I wish you the best of luck with getting info and finishing the process with your deadbeat MA in the quickest way possible .

Next time, I'll buy one in Baltimore!!!!

I never got anything that wasn't requested. In fact, NADA!

This $chmuck told me he wouldn't know squat until it showed up at the dealer. Thank you for proving him wrong!

Yours will probably be done and your knee will be healed before we get ours!

I'll have to take it back down to Camden Yards to watch the Yank's get their butts kicked! (Met fan) (nice stadium!)

If you think my knee will be better before your MINI arrives, you might want to just re-order now. I have about 8 months of PT ahead of me . Come on down, we can goto a game some time. Plan it out on a day the local club has a run planned. Do the run, do the game.

Jeremy- on looking at the pictures again, I really like your wheels!

My MA is more like mr hankey's than Jeremy's. No contact without me initiating it, basically the same info as the owner's lounge. Disappointing!

In theory the Maersk Wave has been in port in New York for most of the day, but the WW site doesn't say my baby has been unloaded. My MA was no help again when I called earlier today, just said that it was scheduled to get unloaded today and he should have it in four days or so. I hate waiting!

I think I got lucky with my MA . She is super nice, and seems to actually care. When I walked in she treated me, a 20 year old kid wearing a t-shirt, tattered shorts, on crutches, the same way that she'd probably treat a 40 year old in a business suit.

Other times I've been to the same dealer I was snubbed by the sales staff, likely because of my age/appearance.

My MINI didn't show up as being unloaded until the day after, when the Fedora was already on its way to the next port, and no time was provided for when it was off loaded.

Maybe I should make you all more jealous of my MA by letting you know that she is a VERY attractive young woman as well .

I just talk to my MA and he told me that my MCS is cruising the COLUMBIA Highway which left on the 14th of July . She is expected to arrive in Charleston on the 25th and take a one day train ride to the VDC.

It'll probably be at your dealer around the 28th or 29th! Let the final count down begin!

My baby came off the boat in New York at 5:15pm yesterday. From what I read on the tracking post the VDC up there is open 6-2 M-F, which I guess means she's gonna be sitting around all weekend. I was really hoping she'd be on a truck over the weekend :(. The Wave was a day late on its trip across the Atlantic, I guess transatlantic shipping will always have some element of unpredictability in it.

UPDATE>>>>>>
My Mini got loaded on the Columbia Highway with Mark's Tuesday night, Wed morning. (Sorry Mark, but the CH didn't leave till 8:30-9:00 AM EDT on the 15th, watched the Southampton Port Cam and website) The estimated schedule is for the 23rd in Baltimore, 25th Charleston, which they usually make by the way, barring bad weather in the North Atlantic !!
The Sales Manager at my dealer called the other day to tell me that MiniUSA couldn't find out from the factory why my car was in production 23 days. He assured me that it would be in perfect condition, and avoided using the word repaired. Told me that Mini has a policy that if damage exceeds 3% of MSRP that they won't let the dealers sell the car. That's $900 on a 30K car and it wouldn't take much paint re-work to hit that....so I don't know what to think.
I do have good friends in the Body Shop business and Used Car business who can help me assess if this has been the issue. We'll see I guess, I'm still looking forward to the car, just hope this issue doesn't become a major hassle!
Jeremy,
Great looking Vert !!!! I think I'm going to do the JCW Stage I kit too. Always like a bit of extra power, and gotta buy Premium fuel anyway, so why not. That's also why I ordered the DTC (with which you get the Electronic Differential Lock Control that's on the JCW). Like you I won't have the bigger turbo or brakes, but I will have most of the "goodies". As close to a factory JCW as I can get and still have the paddle shifters!!

**Jeremy1026 is sitting in the corner, rocking in the fetal position muttering "5 more days" repeatedly.**

believe me, me too!
My MA called yesterday since he hadn't gotten back to me on financing stuff, he seems to think that he'll get the car TOMORROW and I'll be able to get it Tuesday. If he turns out to be right instead of my estimate of Thursday, I may have to forgive him for not being responsive.

My wife thinks I may be a little over-obsessive about all this. Nah, I told her, just obsessive enough!

3 days, 9 hours, 13 minutes until I arrive at the dealership to sign the paperwork. Not that I'm counting or anything.

Sorry, was out motoring instead of taking pictures
Super happy, had fun playing on Georgetown Pike (local windy/hilly road)- no tickets, no accidents, no red lights on the dash- haha!
My son loves it, my wife still has to adjust...
