Wish I could find out more

I've called Ask Mini twice and my MA once since Wednesday, and all they can tell me is that the car went into the paint shop on Wednesday morning (24 th) and THERE ARE NO UPDATES SINCE !!!!! The Production Video says it takes about 10 hours in the paint shop. The Owner's Lounge is stuck on Scheduled for Production and has been since the 17th. It would be more helpful if they would give timely up to date information...grrrrrr.
Ask Mini suggested tonight (26th Friday) that it usually takes 2-3 days after paint to complete assembly and to call Monday or Tuesday, that it would probably be done and sent to Southampton by then. Hope so, sorry for the rant.

Just got off the phone with ASK-MINI (automated thing) and now my production completion date is the 30th, and I'm still in the paint shop. I wonder if they ran out of Interchange Yellow

Called Ask Mini Automated too !!!!!

Your post caused me to try the automated thingy too....It seems I'm still stuck in the paint shop (since the 24th AM) and have an estimated completion of June 30 also....must have run out of Laser Blue OR they mixed the Interchange Yellow with the Laser Blue to get Bilious Green !

I just called ASK-MINI and mine is also in the paint shop... This whole deal with mixing the yellows and blues is causing my Chili Red to get delayed. j/k. Looks like this support group should be a week 27 support group.

I'm guessing there was a football match and they all got so drunk they decided to take the rest of the week off and start again next week. At least I still might make the Aegean Highway on July 3rd. Hopefully ! You know the Interchange Yellow could have got mixed with the Chili Red and gotten Pumpkin Orange !!!

Hey, what dealer did you order from and who is your MA? I ordered from Towson and my MA is Alison.

Stillllll in the paint shop. I said to the MINIUSA rep that they must be out of yellow, and she just giggled and said could be.

I ordered from Annapolis. I went up to Towson first and didn't like the vibe I got from the salespeople there. I think I went on a test drive with Alison, and she was really nice. But the people above her didn't seem to care whether or not I bought a car from them. Annapolis was the opposite. I have William Barfield as my MA there. And Annapolis will actually be more convenient for me to pick up the car since I'm from that area.

They better get some more yellow so you stop holding up the line!

I emailed my MA and he said that my Cooper S was painted on the 24th. I'm guessing it is at the assembly step and the automated ASKMINI hasn't been updated.

I've been booked on a cruise!!!

Production was completed on the 23rd and after sitting on the dock for nearly a week, I'm scheduled to depart Southampton 7/1 and arrive NYC on 7/9.

I just punched in my vin on the WW cargo tracking website. Fill it in in the cargo ID box on the right and click track.

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/

Looks like I'll be sharing a room. I'm going to try for an upgrade. If there is anyone else needing a lift to Halifax, NS, NY, GA, or Galveston, TX, I do believe it's last call!

Will they actually finish our cars tomorrow?

So what's the bet? Do you suppose they will actually finish our cars and tell us tomorrow? How long till they update the OL? I'm a bit skeptical on their system and its upgrade after nearly two weeks in the production process, yet hopeful they will finally come through.

YES!!! The answer machine at ASKMINI let me know Tiffany is being transported to the port of exit. Maybe she will hitch a ride on the Aegean Highway on July 3rd.

It's kind of interesting how one day I call ASK-MINI and I am told it's in paint and I get my VIN and all that. Then I call this morning and the guy says that all he can tell is that it started production on the 23rd. "The next step is the body shop where I'll get my VIN and then paint". But I've had my VIN for a week now...I'll just call this afternoon and hope to get someone that knows a bit more.

Strange updates

My MA told me mine started production the 17th, went to the paint shop the 24th and stayed there until this morning, final assembly and completion projected for today the 30th.....no other updates along the way and I checked with my MA and with Ask Mini (not to mention the OL).....I'm not certain but I think that the system they've created tends to produce more not less aggravation for the customer....OR maybe I'm just being impatient !!

I hope my MINI doesn't have motion sickness. It's got itself a train ride to Southampton currently.

Sorry about all the delays

If not for the delays, we could be cruising together on the good ship FEDORA. I'm guessing we'll be underway shortly, as we've been at the dock for a while now. Google 'real time' satellite maps would be nice now!

Good luck at the dock. You should know if you're on a WW ship if you plug in your vin. It told me days before the voyage.

I got booked on the FEDORA also! There must have been a private train waiting for my MINI to get out of the plant.

WOO HOO!

Very nice! I've been waiting on that dock for a week and you get an escort right to the ship!

I'll meet you on board, I'm the pepper white S with/BB (will have the caps changed to PW on delivery) I've already met some cuties on board and we're drinkin' like fish!

Anyone else on board?
