I'm quite happy with the Enkei RS+M wheels purchased from Tire Rack this spring. Light weight for a 17" x 7" at 15.7 lbs., if you want 16" you can save another pound or so. The finish is not quite as Bright Silver as the pics would suggest, more of a greyish-silver, and I like it that way.
Other light choices are Enkei RPF-1, Kosei K1-TS, and OZ Alleggerita.
Tires?... the sky is the limit... but try to keep the car from lift off...

You didn't say what your budget is. I recommend what I have. OZ Alleggerita HLT and Yokohama Advan Neova.

My car is a factory JCW, and with those brakes 17" is the smallest rim you can use, and not all 17" clear the calipers either.

Yikes! Realized I don't have any pics of the RS+Ms on the MCS! Thought there were some in my Gallery, but no... I have pics of the wheels after Tire Rack delivery on the computer at home, but none on the car methinks...

I will take some and post in my Gallery, being that every time I try to post a full size pic on a forum post, it turns out as a clickable thumbnail...

Loving the wheels though, they don't even look that bad with the gobs of brake dust these cars pump out.

And if you rap the center caps, you'll get sore knuckles, none of that chintzy ill fitting plastic here!

If you don't mind spending a little more, try some SSR Type Cs or Type Fs too. Forged, and single or hybrid 2 piece. Strong and light.
