Pothole=warning light=concern?

Buenas Dias everyone-
Quick newbie question, probably stupid but here goes:

Hit a pothole yesterday & my warning light came on as did the brake light next to it (the two lights left of center, second & third up).
Brakes worked fine & no noticeable problems for the five minutes it took to drive home.
When I got home, I turned the car off & then back on & warning lights were now off.
I drove for another few minutes, everything was fine & the lights did not go back on.
Should I be concerned or was this a temporary thing?
Thanks!
Enjoy the day-
Robt

You could take it to a dealer or a nice autoparts store and have them read any fault codes. Then you will know why the lights came on.

Steering Angle Sensor is either damaged or trying to tell you there is something out of alignment.

just to make sure...

The warning lights are not on anymore.
They came on after hitting the pothole but did not go back on after the car was turned off & on again & the car seems to driving exactly the same as it did before, wonderfully.
Should I still be concerned?
Thanks!

It can't hurt to ask someone to look at the codes and make sure that things are okay. Depending on the pothole, hitting one can throw your alignment off which will cause your tires to wear out more quickly than normal...

It's probably worth it to you to at least ask the questions at the dealership.

no worries

Just to provide a happy ending to my query & perhaps assuage others who may have a similar concern~
I had the car checked by the dealer who said it wasn't a concern at all. Sometimes when hitting big bumps or potholes, these lights may be "jarred" into lighting up as a momentary loss may occur. Unless they stay on, there should be no problem.
Thanks everyone for your comments & guidance...

hey be thankful it just jarred the lights - I had all my passenger airbags deployed because of a pothole -- its been 3+ weeks now of trying to get it fixed... BIG pain..
you can also go to an autozone (or the like) and they can read any codes for lights for you too-- for free!
