Other week 14ers out there?
Thanks for the wildcard search tip. I didn't realize you could search using a wildcard. At least I get to see other people getting their Mini's shipped

Kind of dangerous info given. If you were a bit devious
, you could take someone's VIN and register it at MiniUSA Owners Lounge. At least it seems like you could. Not sure why you would want to though......When typed into Google, my VIN already shows up on Carfax.
Still Waiting in Ohio.....
I share your same thoughts. It doesn't make any sense why are cars cannot be on these ships. Maybe too much British Ale

There is a whole mess of cars on the Mignon, but mine isnt one of them. Any idea what the average time cars sit on the docks before being picked up is? Been there since Friday, but 3 ships destined for Charleston have come and gone and yet my car remains there.
When was your car completed?
It looks like it's about to leave the English Channel, you can check that here: http://marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdet...MMSI=265491000 . After it goes in the open ocean it won't update until is gets much closer to land again.
But if it does broadcast weather reports during its voyage then you should be able to pick it up here http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shiplocations.phtml . Unfortunately not all ships do this.
Have fun with this thread. Our Week 11 thread helped pass the time.
Wow 3/31 and its still on the docks? That does not make sense. Mine was completed 4/3. Next ship I see is the Sierra Nevada Highway K-Line ship on April 11. That on is on the Charleston port schedule for April 23.
I completely agree, and if it doesn't make it onto that next K-Line boat I may have to just go buy a Honda Fit and give up my $500 deposit. I have back to back roadtrips planned for May/June and my current car isn't going to make it, which is why I ordered in February so it would get here in time.
Good News for Week 13/14 Mini Owners

This information below should be able to help you. If you need any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me at anytime. I can tell you are very much excited to get it!! It’s very exciting! Everything MINI gives out are estimated dates and durations due to not knowing if there is a back up at anytime due to any reasons. Sometimes cars will sit at port longer than others, it just all depends. By the looks of our allocation, it is showing that your car is in transit to VPC now and its estimated time of arrival to is April, 17th. It shouldn’t be too long after that when it arrives here. Looking forward to seeing the two of you.

GOOD NEWS CHARLESTON bound Mini owners (Thyodin and others)
. I just found out that our Mini is on the Georgia Highway which left Southampton on 4/6/09. The following is my email from my MA that I received this A.M.

You are correct, sir! My MA confirmed I am aboard the Georgia Highway scheduled to dock 4/17. That is good news. I'm glad it isnt sitting around on the docks.
P.S. Sure would be nice if the Owners Lounge would update on time to avoid putting us through this...

Me too! I've been wondering when the status will change to "En Route" so I can schedule a day to go loan shopping. Now that I know im on a ship I can search around.
Mine left on the Don Pasquale on Wednesday. The ship's schedule says that it will arrive in NY on the 11th, but my MA emailed me saying that it will be in Port Jersey on the 15th. He went on to say that it will be only be a few more days until it arrives at the dealership (Inskip in RI), so the soonest I could see it would be the 18th. Im wondering if he included the time that it will be at the BMW Vehicle Distribution Center.
Well, I'm at work till midnight tonight (I work a strange schedule) and I was looking around at the port of Charleston where us SC bound Minis will end up. It turns out the terminal our cars show up at, "Union Pier", is located right at the tail end of "Cooper River". How perfect is that?
I need a new hobby....

) I wonder when they named that river the "Cooper River"? Getting up at 3:00 am to sort UPS packages is not the best hours in the world either Thyodin although I do have my afternoons off. I would have tried tracking the Georgia Highway up to this point but my personal/business income tax is due in two days. Yes....it's hard to get work done when you're looking forward to your new Mini coming in from UK
"If only I could make this Mini tax deductible for 2009"
Maybe a courier service or something like that.
Yeah, I've been checking it the past week or so wondering when the Georgia Highway would appear on their port schedule. I noticed the Integrity is scheduled to dock a day early and they booked it on the same pier the Georgia Highway is on. One thing thats interesting to me is MiniDad08 says his car's VIN already appears in Carfax as of April 8. Mine still doesnt show up. I'm getting excited now but I cant pick up my car until the third week of May due to work!
