Hey, Christina !!! You were supposed to be shopping for Union Jack stuff !!

Seems you like Moss Mini. Yeah, I have quite a bit of stuff from them. Good quality stuff.

Now, you'll have to show us what you've found for your MINI and we can give you feedback, if you like.

Glad to hear Britie is back and ready to go. CR&PW&JB has a some really nice looking MINIS and the CR with the checks is my favorite. I'm into checks also with bonnet stripes and mirror caps with checks. I'm on a fixed income so I really can't afford to go all out. My other vice is showing my 81 Corvette at car shows around central Ga. and the entry fee's keep me poor. I've also put Snert in a few and have won awards with it. I don't have a means to send pictures and probably wouldn't know how if I did. Have fun with your car and do what ever makes you feel good. I do hope you can make it down here on the 4th as we would love to meet you and Britie and remember dinner is on us. BTW welcome to 2nd gear. You'll be in 6th gear in no time!!

I found several things that I like on those sites. As I said, I don't want to stand out and have a ton of UJ things on the exterior... probably more interior. I think maybe a UJ license plate cover for the exterior, and maybe stem covers (do you ever worry about someone stealing yours?). Those door plugs look pretty cool for the interior... maybe some UJ floor mats if I could find those.

And I love that "Actual size" sticker for the windows of the car... too cute!
Yeah, i got it. You are bound and determined to get me to spend more $$$, aren't you ??

No, I don't worry about anyone stealing my checkered valve stem covers. Mainly because I have a very safe parking area at work and my car is garaged at home. But others have had them stolen... although it's pretty rare.

So, you like those stickers like the ones I have on my rear side window ?

How about THIS sticker ?

Or how about these under the bonnet "eyes" ?

The "Bend the Rules" sticker is on the Aesthetic Creations website. If you have problems finding it, let me know. IIRC, it's only about $25, too.

Indi Blue with red stripes... hmmmmmm... I'd have to see it but I'm thinking it's a bit loud.

Question... did you get the bonnet stripes from the dealer or from a site online? I am looking for your stripes of black with the white edging and the dealer says it is $52 per stripe. I'm not sure how much installation would run either with the dealer.
My bonnet stripes on my CR Cooper and the PW Cooper are OEM, installed by the dealer before delivery. The boot stripes on my CR Cooper and all the stripes on the JB Convertible are aftermarket... I got them from Aesthetic Creations. I can't remember how much they are, but I'm sure they were less than $104 a pair. And they can custom make anything you can imagine.

And do not pay someone to install stripes. There are DIY threads on here that show you how to do it. It's easy peasy lemon squeezy. I can install a pair of boot stripes in about 20 minutes and bonnet stripes in about 30 minutes. First time, it took maybe an hour.

If you're nervous, here's a hint:

Spend two hours making sure you have them where you want them. Then spend 15 minutes applying them. You'll do fine.

Or, use the method the chickens use : Wet Method. You can move the stripes around that way then just squeegie the water/soap mixture out of them and presto, done.

I never used the wet method and I've installed two sets of boot stripes and one pair of bonnet stripes. I simply read the DIY thread and used the dry method every time. And no, I didn't spend that much time lining them up properly, but I did spend a good 30 minutes the first time I did it. Nerves. Now... 10 minutes maybe.

Now... I did ruin one stripe. I didn't strip the wax off well enough before I put it on and it didn't adhere to the paint very well. Trust me, it was not pretty. Cost me $40. I learned a lesson from that one.

bwaaaaaaahahaha !! I'm thinking you'll be sooooo careful, there's no way you could mess it up.

Did you find the DIY thread on installing stripes ? In case you couldn't find it, here it is:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...with-pics.html

If you study that and still have questions, let me know. We can't have your MINI running around nekkid much longer, you know.

NEKKID MINI!!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW: if you don't want to try it yourself, you can probably find another MINI owner who could help you out.

But seriously, it's really easy to do. Just read the thread/instructions several times and take your time.

Hey, Mike !! Long time, no see ! Almost down to a month before MOTD... can't wait to see you guys again. And btw, I'm having WMW install a CAI on Dr Evil while we're there.

And yeah, you share my opinion of nekkid MINIs.

Yep, we're counting the days until MOTD. I may be getting some new lights for Gromit(been playing email tag with Way), but nothing major this year. I'm just ready to get away and play in the hills and twisties.

Yeah, I know from my years spent in NE Arkansas, there are not too many hills OR twisties in that part of the world.

You're replacing your driving lights ??

Thanks for the link! Looking it over just now. Looks simple... hope the bonnet stripes would be just as easy as the boot stripes.
Bonnet stripes are just a litttttttttttle tougher because, A) they're longer; and B) the bonnet is curved more than the boot.

But the same principles apply and as long as you take your time, you'll be fine.

Happy Shopping !!

And remember, most of the vendors can make custom stripes for you. So if you want black with white pins but want the white pins wider or maybe double-pins, they can do that.
