Newbie here... please be gentle
Was it ever determined what the problem was or are you still in the dark??
If you ever do have to take it to a MINI Dealer Mini of South Atlanta may be nearer to you. Ray Godman is a SA [Service Advisor] at So. Atlanta and always has been fair and honest with me on warranty work. It just went out of warranty and I've not had it to the dealer since so I can't vouch for any non-warranty service. Way motor works in Atlanta is an independent repair place you may also consider. He is a vendor on NAM and is listed in the
Vendor Directory. I've heard nothing but good things about his work. You might want to consider him for oil changes and maintenance type work. Just
MHO, but steer clear of places like Jiffy Lube. Changing oil in a MINI has it's little quirks but is easy to do once you learn how. Do a search on NAM and you'll find several posts and threads on how to do it. Again I'm looking forward to meeting you and Britie and hope you can make it. BTW Snert is the name of the little dog on the comic strip "Hagar the Horrible.

What was the indication that you had a problem? Had the tire warning light come on? Do you still have run flat tires on? Sometimes these cars can drive you right up the wall with all the little goofy things that happen. Most dealers are a bit high on service work like an oil change well over $100.00 and high hourly rates. You might try and find a local mechanic that has some MINI knowledge or use Way Motor Works. He could probably handle any problem that may arise with these cars. Since you have a 2006 is there any of the factory warranty left on the car? You might check on that. Look on the door jam it will tell you the month it was mfg.
Keep Britie as the name, I think it's unique. Also he may not like a change and than you will be in trouble!!

Sorry to hear you didn't get Britie back today, Christina. Let's just hope the delay is because they're really busy and not because they're having problems or don't know what the hell they're doing (since they're a Toyota dealership).
But hey, at least you still have that coooooooool Ford Focus.
Hope you get your CR baby back tomorrow.

It's hard to believe that a bad wheel sensor would trip all those warnings, but than what do I know. I'm sure you'll get Britie back soon with the problems solved. I'm sure it's hard for the Toyota techs as they probably have never worked on a MINI. But there's no excuse for the MINI Dealer to give them the wrong sensor. It just seems like nothing is ever easy. Hang in there, everything will work out ok!!
Ya think ??!!?? And hey, if you're weird and don't like checkers
, there's a lot of other options. Peruse the interior/exterior mod sub-forums in both first generation and second generation forums and get some great ideas. Warning: You could spend hours and hours and get so many good ideas, your head will spin.
I love the British stuff. I think that I was born in the wrong country... seriously! I was thinking about getting the license plate to say "AYBS" for Are You Being Served. I just went and purchased Mr. Bean and Waiting for God. The Vicar of Dibley will be next.
I want a cute little Hot Wheels car that looks like my car, but I wouldn't even know where to find one!
There is nothing wrong with checkered print... nothing at all. Does the chrome in your interior have checkered print as well? I looked at one that had the checkered print on the dash and ovals.
And hey, if you're not into checkers, Union Jack them goes well with Chili Red.
And there are TONS of aftermarket mods availaible for the Union Jack theme.
Here are some of my favorite websites for aftermarket stuff. Check them out:

You should check out the thread about how much people have spent on mods.
Me... around $4,000 on one MINI, $2,000 on another and $1500 on the third.
Not even close to what some have spent... almost as much as the car cost.
And in rare cases: more.
And that's sweet of you... looking for cool checkered stuff. You might have a tough time though. I already have 31 checkered items on my CR MINI.
