As for the issue, my father took a look at the car and thinks it is the wheel sensor. He removed all of them, refilled the pressure, and replaced them. It temporarily got rid of the indicators. Then, the car was taken out for a drive and all four indicators lit up again. He thinks it might be one of the sensors that does not screw on fully. Another problem is that we obtained the records of what the previous owner had gone to the dealer for as far as maintenance and three or four times the tire indicator light is listed. I am not sure if she only needed to reinitialize the car and didn't know how to do it herself or if it is something more like the issue we are having.

I do not have an appointment to go just yet. I was just trying to get it handled on my own before going. As for a warranty, yes, I am sure it expired long ago while the previous owner had it. However, since this one was bought from a dealership, we were able to get a limited warranty on it so no matter what, we will be covered for a little while. Looks like I will be making a trip to the dealership tomorrow.

Oh! My father found some stem covers (sensors?) for the tires that have the British flag on them that he might get. Slowly working on the mods....

K... seems like we are on our way to the dealership just now instead of waiting. Will update when I get back then.
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha... those valve stem covers are a start. A very small start, but a start, nonetheless.

The new Turbos put out a bit more power than the Superchargers. But the big difference in the second generation (2007+) and the first generation MCS is the MPGs. Not only does the new turbo produce more horses, it gets you around on less gas. If only they looked as good as the first generation (I may have just re-ignited a long-standing debate here on NAM).

I wouldn't worry too much about the tire pressure warning light. I get that at least once a year on one of our MINIs. Goes off after a few starts and doesn't come back for a while. Just a little quirk in the MINI, I believe. But your other warning lights... those are of concern, of course.

My car hates me already!!!

I don't quite know how to do it yet or what exactly it does, but do you mind if I add you to my buddy list or friends list?
Hmmmm... odd that only the Service Engine light was on during the trip there but your other indicator lights came on during the trip home. Hope they can figure it out quickly so you're not without your MINI too long.

Did they confirm with you they'll take care of it all under the warranty they gave you ?

And sure, add away. I think the only thing that does is give you the ability to see when your "buddy" is online.

Good luck tomorrow on our service appointment.

I hope all your problems are little ones and can be solved with no major problems. I assume your new to Ga. Warner Robins is about 15 miles South of Macon off of I-75. We would enjoy having you come by and even buy your dinner on our meeting nights. We meet at Starbucks than decide where to go for dinner. We have no rules or dues, just a nice bunch of people that enjoy their MINIS or some cases Minis. I know it's a long way from the Atlanta area but it might be a nice drive on a Sat. afternoon.

It depends on various things, but we normally have 8 to 12 cars show up. We hang around for a little while than decide where every one would like to go. \Some times it's pizza or maybe a place no one has ever been to and than we caravan to where ever. One of our members has a part time business working on MINIS and can do maintenance and repair work at a reasonable cost. I live in Milledgeville so it's a bit of a drive for me too. Your more than welcome any time. It's the first Sat. of every month. Go South on I-75 to exit 146 than left about 3 miles. Starbucks is on the right.
Our next get together is April 4th. Wow I'm in 6 gear now..... I'm heading for the 6 gear lounge!!

Sounds like a longggggggggg day. Did you go over to the MINI dealership to wait ? Most of them, like the one I go to for service, have computers with internet that you can use. They also have free drinks, pastries, a big screen HDTV, and a little MINI shop with t-shirts and stuff.

A Ford Focus ?!?! You didn't put your foot down and insist on a comparable car ?? I can't talk... I was rear-ended a couple years ago and Nationwide/Enterprise put me in a PT Cruiser, thinking I'd be happy with that "comparable car".

Yep, keep posting. See my post count ? There's your goal.

You slept until EIGHT O'CLOCK, you slacker ??

Well, at least you made good use of your time. You studies Law, Economics, World Events, and... hmmmmm.... not sure you can learn anything from soap operas.

And don't feel bad. I don't think ANYone could look as good in a Focus as they do in a MINI.

Hope you get some good news on your MINI tomorrow... like it's ready to pick up and all the issues are fixed !

Three a.m. ?? Geez, I can't remember the last time I stayed up that late. I'm getting old.

Nice pics. Love the Chili Red dash and door ovals. Sure wish they were available in the JustaCooper when I bought mine in 2006. Sweet.

I hate to be negative, but... I've dealt with enough car dealerships to know. Either call them first to verify your MINI is ready to be picked up, or pack a lunch.

Thanks about the pics. Actually, when I got the car, I wasn't too fond of the red on the interior... still not really. I am simple... boring. I hate to stand out and it is a bit stand-outish to me. I hear that is how cars used to look a long time ago though, so in a way it is cool. It grows on me and looks better to me each day. Wanna trade your JustaCooper with my S?

Yeah, tomorrow I will definitely be calling before heading over there. Don't want a repeat of today.
Oy ! I know what you're going through. I finished my BS degree while on active duty in the Air Force. Made for some VERY long days. But it's way worth it, so keep plugging away !

Nah, not really old. Just feeling like it some days. I haven't even qualified for AARP. Yet.

No, I don't want to trade my CR/Checkered Cooper for your S. I just wasnt to trade my dash panels and door ovals for yours. And you'll learn theat in a MINI, you're going to get a attention whether you want it or not. Just have fun with it !

Britie,

If we were closer...I'd be tempted to trade...nevertheless, I hope you are successful and get to spend even more time in your mini than you have in NAM-land. Both places are great though, keep the faith & keep smiling & waving.

I hope you can make it on the 4th. I'm going down early as our resident
"Mechanic" is going to put new rotors and pads on "Snert" [my MINI]. As CR&PW&JB said it's all about posting. The following is what you need to progress. 1st to 2nd 51, 2nd to 3rd 151, 3rd to 4th 301, 4th to 5th 601, and 5th to 6th 1101. I don't post that often so it took me a year or so to get to 6th gear. Some people do it in a month or so. Did your MINI end up at Global or Mini of So. Atlanta? Mini of So. atlanta always treated me pretty good and I've heard good reports about Global so hopefully they will get your problems taken care and you can get back to diddie boppin about lookin good.
