Week 11 (3/08/09-3/14/09) Support Group
Don't forget, if you're coming through the Charleston port then you could also end up on a KLine vessel. There's a link to the KLine schedules from the tracking sticky, but with the KLine's its all a guess.

If you called ASKMINI, though, and they told you its in Paint today and will be finished today, that would be odd.
K Line
I'm on a K Line ship Hercules Highway, and I hate it because I kept looking at the WW stuff thinking I would see my VIN show up. It turns out that it left on the 7th. But I didn't realize because I thought I was only suppose look at the top of the KLine schedule. There are also ships headed here in the middle of the page.

This was the automated geezer on ASKMINI. Maybe I'll call and talk to a real person tomorrow if I get time.
I called ASKMINI today, and confirmed I am done production, being transported to the docks as we speak!
I still think I'm cutting it too close to be on the TOPEKA, he'll probably sit there til Tuesday and be loaded on the FAUST.
Funny thing though, the past 2 ASKMINI reps I've spoken to both gave an estimated traveling time of over 2 weeks, with the first guy telling me it took 4 weeks to get to NYC.
At that point I had to be talked down off a ledge, but I'm ok now.
I think I need to reorganize my CD's again....

I guess I'm lucky in that I still have a MINI to drive around in while waiting for the new one
The 2nd time around it really is easier, I remember how bad it was waiting for #1 to arrive.

Actually, it might be possible for your MA to find out/know. I'm not sure how much they're told. Maybe they can get the bill of lading or something, which I think you can look up via KLine's site.

Hrmm how long ago did you finish production? I finished either late Monday / early Tuesday and I can find myself on the WW website as of around noontime today. Maybe you can find out if you're on K-Line via process of elimination?

Awesome! Check WW's website tomorrow to see if you show up - if so, it might say that you're booked for TOPEKA (or FAUST). You seem to be following me by about a day so if you're there tomorrow there's definitely a chance! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
If he's at the dock tomorrow and destined for a WW boat, then I think there's a very good chance of making TOPEKA. There were vehicles that arrived on Tuesday while TORRENS was loading and they still were loaded onto TORRENS.
It was done sometime yesterday (Wednesday, March 11). It doesn't show up yet on the WW site.
I am also booked on the Topeka. Received at the Terminal and booked on Topeka 3/11. Looks like COKen, bogs and I are ready to start the dock party ! Topeka gets in 3/13 and departs 3/14.
Cameroon, By now I would expect with all the great links/info you have been providing that you would be able to show us/boat the way across. You got Torrens GPS dialed in ? Where is it right now ...besides "At Sea" ?
Atomic17, Traveling time 2-4 weeks to NY depending on which rep you talked to ? The boat you are scheduled for...maybe they are sailing across ? The transport schedule for Southampton to NY should be 10 days.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find any way to track her now that she's beyond shore-based telemetry. If only she transmitted weather data! I even tried to find some maps of the most frequent shipping lanes across the north Atlantic, figuring that I could split that up and get a guess per day where she was.

On the other hand, it does free me from trying to locate her all the time and figure out where my car is. It's kind of... liberating
It took mine about 24 hours to show up on the WW site. You may be able to see it tomorrow. If so, it will tell you which ship you are scheduled for. You may be able to get on the Topeka leaving on 3/13.
TORRENS TRAVELERS: You could draw a Great Circle path between Southampton and Halifax. Or, if you would like to drive yourself even farther up the wall, you may be able to extrapolate from these previous travels:

Oldsbear,
You are da man ! Great link for marine traffic ! Clearly able to see the progress made so far by Torrens as well as all other boats in it's vicinity. I like the fact that the link not only shows present location but shows the route it has taken. I checked out Topeka's progress and it look like it was leaving it's port call in Belgium now at about half the speed of Torrens (19 kn vs 10 kn).
