Long Time Fan, Brand New Owner

Hello,

My g/f just purchased her first new car. A 2009 MCS Dark Silver w/ black roof & mirrors, black interior, 17" crown spoke wheels, and much more. She found it a local dealership and was able to talk em down a good bit, with the assistance of her father. I will try to get some pictures up tonight when she get's home. I must say that I think they are pretty cool cars. I'm a big guy so it's a bit of a squeeze to fit in but not as bad as her 96 Camry interestingly enough.

I have a 2004 Ford F250 Crew Cab 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel. I'm no stranger to the mod bug as I have a few grand in my truck's mods.

I'm curious if there are any "must do" mods initially? Any home made mods that most prefer to do? Are aftermarket air filter's worth it or should I do an entire intake?

I will have the windows tinted sometime this week or next. I would like to put the factory xenon's in but after searching it seems like that's quite a chunk of change. I might just stick to some ultra or extreme halogen bulbs for now.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to answer if you do. I look forward to everyone's input!

Welcome.

If you like good sound, replace the speakers. See the navigation / audio area for more info.

There are a lot of mods for the Mini but nothing that you must do. I am sure you will find many things to do in the next few weeks. Welcome from North Carolina.

Welcome to the MINIac world! Were you really able to 'talk them down quite a bit'? From what I hear that doesn't happen often, so good for you (or your g/f). I have the justacooper; haven't done any mods, but it's still a blast to drive.

Have fun (and let us know when you're ordering yours...)!
