All Aboard The Fedora Departing Jan 31 - 2009

My car is confirmed for this boat. This will be my 3rd time waiting. My wife's car was delivered Jan 8th, 2009 and mine followed 2 weeks later. (They finished production on the same day but mine did not make the boat.) So that is 2 waits. But the car was not quite right and so I am waiting again for the 3rd time. You know what they say the third time is the charm.

The ship is due to arrive in California February 22, 2009. Man oh man I can't wait. I still have not driven my wife's car Dotty.

Fulburt is going to be quite a bit younger than Dotty.

I can't wait. If anyone else is on this boat sound off!!

Regards,

Pat

I out this in the wrong forum. How can this get changed? Should I just repost?

Out of curiosity, what wasn't "quite right" about the MINI that was first brought across the pond?

I made a lot of changes after the order had been placed. When the car was received the interior was incorrect. The dealer offered to change it in there shop at no expense to me but I was not comfortable having them rip the interior apart. It is after all a brand new vehicle and changing the interior trim pieces is no easy task. I didn't want to take the chance of having issues down the road. They were very accommodating and reordered with no qualms. But here I am still waiting.

I'm fairly certain this is my boat too.. I should give them a call and check though. My status went to enroute on the 31st, and I was told to expect it in Albuquerque mid March, so that matches up.

I can't wait!

edit.. I just noticed you're in Bonney Lake.. my wife and I just moved from Puyallup a year ago, her mom still lives in Bonney Lake

Washington to New Mexico. What gives?
How could you leave this wonderful tax ridden state? Whoops off topic.

I agree sounds like your ride is on the Fedora. I hear tell it is going to California via New York.

Good luck I hope you motor in Peace.

The wait is a pain the neck. Especially the third time around. I looked at 10 different cars on the dealers lot and not one had everything that I wanted. I just didn't want to compromise. (I'm hating the wait though!!)

I'm in the Air Force... changed jobs and therefore they felt the need to change my base. My wife and I actually enjoyed the change, no more 9 months of rain, and the traffic is virtually non-existant down here

By the way, how did you confirm your boat? I called ASK-MINI and all she was able to tell me what that it was at the port on 14th of Jan.. kinda weird since the website shows en route...

My MA sent me a notice that it was on the boat.
Also you can go to this website http://www.2wglobal.com/www/productsServices/index.jsp

under the header customer center go to track and trace. Put your total vin number in the field marked Cargo ID and then hit enter and it will show you which boat your car is on if they have the record. I actually has this information before my MA sent it to me.

I hope that helps.
