Getting in a MINI after it has rained

Hi Folks,

Lovin' my 2009 MCS. I did however get a little surprise when getting into my MINI after it had recently rained (I live in the Silicon Valley area, California so snow is not a factor but simply a mild rain here and there...). After a couple of seconds of getting into my car and the door still being open I go a dose of water from the roof and onto my lap and driver's seat.

Anyone else have this happen to them?
Doesn't seem to be something that's happened to me in any of my other cars.

I sure must love the MINI though. After that happened I simply wiped off the water, laughed, and went about the day.

Cheers,
-CT

That was the first thing I noticed when I got my first 02 cooper in 02. I sent in a note when they asked how I liked it.... and I noticed that when I got my 06 Cooper...it was the same...

Oh, well.... You have a good attitude... wipe it off and be on your way... I wish for you....lots of sunshine...no rain

Yes, it's a Mini thing. A small eccentricity to get used to.

Hahaha, yep, happens to me all the time. Sometimes I'll have the window open in the summer, and it will pour in all over me, lol. It's part of the experience.

I'm guessing none of you live in the rain belt of the PNW. You learn fast to get in and close the door quickly. Hoping weathertech.com will soon produce Vent Shades for our frameless doors.
