Well, I've gone and done it. I put down a deposit on a custom order for a JCW Hardtop. It's due in mid Feb 2009. It annoys me a bit that I have to wait till Jan for them to actually order the thing because of the holidays, but oh well I guess.

Does anyone have any recommendations on break-in mileage? Is it needed?

What about the first wax application on the paint? I told them not to detail it at the dealer, no telling if they use the $2 walmart wax or not.

hey congrats on the car. the JCWs look nice. i dont know much to answer your questions (ive never bought a brand new car).

what color you go with? i tried pricing one out on the website and saw there were tons of custom options to configure the MINI however you like.
