New here. Picked up my '09 MCS on Friday
Hello all.
I picked up 09 Mini Copper S, black with redwood interior, on Friday from Princeton Mini. Automatic with the 3 main option packages and a bunch of chrome bits.
I bought the car as bit on impulse to use as a commuter back and forth to work.
I am a car enthusiast and the Mini reminds me a lot of my first new car, a '86 Honda CRX (but as if it were made by BMW).
Had a great experience with Princeton Mini and am so far very pleased with the car.

Nice commuter, your MINI has much more heart than the CRX, but they both are great cars for their eras.
Pictures, mods, wheel upgrades, any plans?
Welcome to MINIdom and enjoy the ride.

I got the 17in web spoke wheels.
I'm not the type to mod. Although I feel the hood scoop looks a little out of place not being chrome. Can I safely assume that an enterprising company has already made up a chrome hood scoop?

I had a CRX too, a blue '85 CRX si, back in the day. It was my college car that I picked up used. Got a good deal and I drove that car for 5 years with no problems. Sold it for $3,000 less than I paid for it, the most economical car purchase ever for me. It was a great little car. A lot of fond memories.
I have to admit, the Mini is so much more fun.
I just got my 09 MC from Princeton on Wednesday! Isn't it exciting? I have a question about it. Does yours flash the low tire pressure gauge in the dash when you turn your car on? And not go away till you start driving? My MA said this was normal, but I want to double check.

Yes, it did exactly that.
I made sure all the tires were up to pressure, reset the monitor, and all is well.
I also discovered a cool little "easter egg." On the valve spem caps there is printing that is almost too small to read. But it says "Reset Tire Pressure Monitor"
