I have my first MINI on order from Keeler in Latham, NY. I live about 2 1/4 hours away in Binghamton, NY. I don't have a production number yet, so I can't visit the owners lounge. I did get a receipt letting me know how many thousands I will owe though!

And, as I was having some beers with some friends at a local place called the "Tiki Bar", a Lightning Blue with a white roof pulled up for some take out. I wanted to go chat, but it was either beer or MINI. I chose beer!

All the details should be in my signature if I got it al right?

 

Hey! Congrats on the new MINI order! I ordered Mine beginning of September, and should be getting it shortly (its on the boat!!!) I guess choosing beer over a MINI was acceptable. Hope you get your production number soon!!

i remember the wait...

 

My MA says my car should be at Keeler (Albany, NY) by the middle of next week, so maybe have it ready to go by the 18th. That would make about 7+ weeks from order to pick-up. Originally they said 3 months, then it was 2 months, and that is about right. Got a JCW hardtop, but kept the options few to save the $$. Only got sport suspension, stereo and cold weather package. Drive for a month and then put it away for the winter. Live in Vermont but have been through Binghamton.

As for the beer, I knew the owner wanted to get his takeout and get home, plus my buddies would bust me for not holding up my end of the pitcher!

It's only been a few days and the wait is already getting to me...

Enjoy your JCW, my PW/B is going to have to enjoy the winter unfortunately. But I'll do my best to keep her clean for a major detailing come spring.

Now I need to figure out a name.

I think my first mods will be the WMW turbo wrap and maybe the M7 heat shield.

Congrats on your order. Hope times goes by quickly till your MINI berths. In the meantime, there are some cool obsessing-while-waiting thereads for you to scroll through, along with the rest of quirky NAM. Have fun coming up with a name for your sweet ride.
