Introduction
Introduction
I figured I should offer my introduction...
I have owned my SS/W MCa since Feb. 29th. I had the unfortunate (or fortunate?) luck of having to replace my old vehicle due to an overheating engine. As such, I didn't really have the option of configuring it...
When I was told to test drive a Mini as a replacement, I was a bit skeptical. I happen to be luck enough to live approximately 30 minutes from 2 of the 3 Mini dealerships located in PA. Went to Otto's Mini in West Chester, PA and test drove their 'test' vehicle. I was impressed, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Unfortunately, the saleswoman that was dealing with us was more interested in pushing a custom configured mini vs. giving us one off the lot... Not wanting to force the issue, and just short of telling her that we needed one immediately, we left the dealership.
At that point we decided to check out Mini of the Main Line in Bala Cynwood, PA..
As we stepped out of the car, we saw Jayne - her champagne-like color glimmering in the fading sunlight. Smitten with the color, we walked in to the showroom. After a period of time, we got a salesman to let us test drive the vehicle. Up to this point, we hadn't even looked at the options on the vehicle.
As we waited for the salesman to return with a key, we looked over what was included... Premium package, Cold weather package and even Comfort Access! I had wanted my next car to have a Sun/Moonroof, and would have enjoyed Bluetooth and a built-in Navi system... Two out of 3 sitting right in front of me wasn't bad
So - after the 'formality' of a test drive, some discussion over the pricing (dealer surprised us with '$800' for rally lights that were never listed as dealer added - all because I wanted to know what the button on the dash did when test driving
), Jayne was purchased...
And just this past week, I've made my first set of modifications... Moving that bluetooth mic to the driver side - and hardwiring my Sirius Sportster and using the built-in antenna for reception.
Needless to say, I have enjoyed the past 8500-ish miles with her and I'm looking forward to the many years of motoring ahead of me!

Lucky you!! I am still waiting for the arrival of my baby!! I think it what you received off the lot - sounds nice! I went back and forth about the sunroof... and I think it is 50/50 here.... for and against! It's nice to know you are enjoying your Mini!!
