New Mini Owner

Good day all

I recently purchased my 2005 Mini Cooper S Convertible with JCW. Made the move from the SRT-4.

I will have to say that I love the way this handles and drives. All out fun car. I do miss the throw you in the back of your seat feeling the SRT provided, but this is one hell of a car.

Looking forward to learning from everyone here, and hopefully provide some insight that I have stored up.

Thanks

Jason

Congrats on your purchase, and welcome to NAM, the MINIverse and everything. Can't wait to see pics of your sweet ride. Happy motoring, though it sounds like you're already doing that.

Welcome to the family Jason, There are many people on NAM that can help your MINI get that "throw you in the back of the seat feeling" I can also help you get that throw you in the dash braking too.

Here you go two pics for your viewing pleasure.

Before Mini

After Mini

Yeah someone was so kind to total out the SRT while driving 30+ mph in my community. Like I said just need to learn the in's and out's of this ride and will be all set!

If you want hte MINI to have more grunt off the line look into this:

http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...speed_kit.html

You save a few hundred bucks buying the kit compared to buying it piece by piece. I've installed a few and no one has complained so far. The Alta intake is a bit noisy for me, but a lot of people like it.

Thank you for the heads up. I have the JCW edition on the car already. I know that I need to look into the pulley situation though!

Quick question, I was going through some of the vendor's sites and cannot find it again. I saw a place with the short throw shifter and had the matching boot.

Can anyone kindly direct me? Thanks.
