I'm just a little older than you and my wife is the same age as yours. I have a MINI S convertible and I enjoy it completely. If you've had small cars before, go for it.

However, if you take long trips and if you generally carry much cargo, it's difficult for the MINI to be your only car. My wife and I often travel with a tandem bicycle and when we do, we take our larger car.

Them again, we're often in "The City" (NYC) and the MINI is worth its weight in gold.
