Started production on Friday the 13th.

Yes. The MINIUSA phone representative gleefully told me that my MCS started production on Friday. I said great, we exchanged some information, said our goodbye's and were off the phone. I looked on the calendar and discovered the historic date of production was Friday the 13th. And the only Friday the 13th. this year - boy I can really pick'em.

Some consider this day unlucky and the contrarians’ consider this day lucky. After reviewing a lengthy article on wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday_the_13th I am more pessimistic than before but really I'm just glad they started!

Any other Friday the 13th members from this or previous years? Let's hear about your good fortune.

Howdy Tex,

I ordered a MCS, Premium, Conv, Cold, Nav, BRG w/white, HDr, 17" crown spokes from Wade at the MINI of The Woodlands the Friday before, June 6th. I must have hit the at the right time to get it in production so quickly.

Wow, that's great! I ordered from Momentum and was originally told week 29. Week 27 was good news but now I have my hopes up for week 26.

Apollo 13 fun facts:

Superstitious people have associated the belief that 13 is an unlucky number with the mission, due to the fact that the mission began on April 11, 1970 (4/11/70, digits summing to 13) at 13:13 CST from Complex 39 (three times thirteen), the problems began on April 13, and the mission is called Apollo 13. Other coincidental appearances of the number 13 connected to the mission included the explosion occurring at 19:13 CST, and a post-flight estimate that, had the explosion occurred on the ground, repairing the damage would have cost $13 million. In a feature on the making of the Apollo 13 film, Jim Lovell pointed out that NASA has never had another spacecraft numbered 13. However, in NASA's preliminary schedule for the return to the moon, an upcoming spaceflight is to be called Orion 13.

Order was actually placed by Alex on Friday 6/12. Papers signed and deposit placed 6/13. It wasn't until Saturday (6/13) that my production week moved up from 29 to 27.
