Howdy to all my MINI mates who are in "order placed" status waiting for a date when production will begin.

 

That would be me. I did call Ask Mini yesterday though and the lady told me they are thinking week 27, which is why I posted that thread. Hopefully it's no later than that.

How many production weeks are there?

 

Hi! I ordered my mini clubman on 6/10 and it's about to go into production. I can't wait to track it on the website!

Ordered a chili red with black top,black on rear, black bonnet stripes, premium pkg which has the sunroof, sport package, rooster red interior trim on seats and dash, xenon headlights, checkered rear view mirror, checkered floor mats, park distance control.

 

We are taking our two Newfies over next week to see how they fit in a Clubman

 

Hi - ordered a MCSa yesterday. Supposedly I am in for June production. Tracking data / VIN due in a couple of days.

Ordered 2009 JCW 06/03, received production number 06/12 tentative production date week 32. I am in for a long wait.

 

Why such a long wait for you?

 

I think it's a combination of the 2009 JCW model and dealer allocations. The local dealer sells about a 100 a month from what I was told. There maybe a possibility that time schedules move up, but at the moment it's week 32. Also we are closing in on the end of the 2008 year. Other than that your guess is as good as mine.

There might only be a few days difference. And in any event, that is just what I was told by my MA. We'll see how accurate his prediction turns out to be.

 

i ordered last friday. got a production number early this week. get an email today saying the manager changed the number. looks like it's another week lost very disappointing. and it's slightly disconcerting that the web site shows a car i didn't order. MA says give it a few days and it will update. i feel like i'm standing outside the front door with my clothes in my hand, the morning after saying, "call me?"

 

Call 1 866 ASK MINI and speak to a live rep. They will set you straight.

 

Well, a week after I placed my order, I still had no word of a production number, so I had to ping my MA today for it.

The good news is that I have one, and on the Owners Lounge the description appears to sync with what I have ordered.

The bad news is that the MA mentioned in passing that since I am scheduled for July production he didn't have a VIN which he previously said he would have, and when he previously advised I was scheduled for June production.

I appear to have a less than stellar MA.

 

What imagery! I don't know whether to laugh out loud, or to counsel that it is never a good idea to beg - it creates an unhealthy precedent . . . .

 

Stopping in to say Hi. Ordered yesterday. Left without production number and just as I was typing this.......my MA emailed me my production number.
