Hello! My 2008 SS/B MCSa has been ordered. I'm in Toronto and there are so many MINIs on the road up here! Seeing them makes me impatient for the day when I take delivery, likely sometime in June.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying reading all the posts in the forums, learning about the car and enjoying some of the debates that rage on about issues such as the best octane level for the car, and whether the NAV system is really defective or just poorly designed. Very entertaining (and quite useful, too).
Anyways, it's good to finally join this group and hopefully I'll be able to contribute something here and there.

Welcome to the party!
Be sure to check out the 'How To Track Your MINI' thread in this forum. You may have a few different processes for tracking since you're in Canada. But it should still basically be the same. A lot of it is really about getting info from the shippers (and the shenanagans that are going on in Southampton while the MINIs get restless). Since you're in Canada, one concern you'll have is your ship hitting a stray iceberg. It's been known to happen.

I'll be sure to look into tracking my MINI's progress. Thanks for the tip!

Use the time wisely...Come up with potential names for it, and work on a clever personalized license plate (can you guys do that up there?) Congrats on your good sense and smart investment!
Sorry, forgot to reply! Glad to hear you will be visiting our fair city - but watch out for potholes! The long winter has taken its toll on our city's roads.
Yes we can get personalized plates, and I'm giving serious thought to it. They cost a lot more though.
So, is it true?
Are all the MINI's in Toronto Pepper White, with a Black roof? That's a rumor that's going around.
(Robert in Toronto started it!)
This will certainly go over your head, unless you listen to the Whiteroofradio podcasts...
Peace.
