I'm new here and soon to be the owner of a laser blue mcs. How do you get those "badges" that say "laser blue owner" or whatever color you have?

Also just wanted to say that this forum is amazing! I've already had a lot of my questions answered!

Hey! Welcome! I'm supposudly going to be able to pick up my new laser blue MINI this saturday (fingers crossed) and I just know we're both going to lalalooove the color. Congrats, by the way!

 

YAY LaserMiniLover and MINIChaser -- you have both made SPECTACULAR choices on the color of your new Minis! My Laser Blue Clubman is either sitting on the Dock in England, or sailing somewhere on the Atlantic. I haven't noticed many other Laser Blues, but that's one of the things I like about it -- it makes it extra special !

How did you get that little badge thing that shows the mini picture that says "soon to be owner and on order" did you just copy and paste from someone else's post?

that's also a reason why I decided to go with laser blue. Around my part of town I see a lot of chili red, and although I love the almost classic look of the chili red, I wanted to be a bit different!

 

I was leaning towards Lightning Blue, but wasn't settled and I saw a couple of them driving around. I drug my husband by the dealer to check out a few of the options I was considering and asked the MA if there was a Laser Blue I could look at (cause the little chip in the showroom wasn't enough) -- they had one waiting for a customer at the back of the lot so he took me to see it. I was sold instantly!!! I liked a lot of the other colors, but this one was just ME.

I am a little miffed at my MA because they have TWO Laser Blue Clubmans on the lot right now. I made him promise to sell them to folks from Myrtle Beach or Savannah ...or anywhere else an hour or so away. Actually, the great thing about the Mini is that they are ALL unique...

LaserMiniLover - I just now tried right clicking on the image and saving it on my hard drive, then uploading it in the Signature Set Up (User CP on the left panel, then Edit Signature). We'll see if it works! I saw a post somewhere with a ton of the cartoon cars, but I can't remember where it was.

OK -- well apparently that didn't work. I have no idea!

 

i won't! but it'll be a while! I'm ordering this weekend! yay! Then I'll have the longest 6-8 weeks of my life!

 

I'm going on the 7th week of waiting and no word yet...

Call your MA every hour until he give you a production number. Then call 1-866-ASK-MINI every hour until they tell you everything. Follow the instructions in the sticky at the top of this forum "How to Track Your MINI". Check the Southampton police blotter once your mini reaches the dock. There've been reports of 'minor' carousing around Southampton. Check Production Week 17 for details.

Make sure your mini knows what a Rolls Royce looks like (they're good for paying your bar tab).

How long does it usually take before you can get info and start tracking?

 

Hmm...well it depends on how long the dealer queue was (how many order slots they had open...)

Your MA should give you the production number as soon as you order, unless their slots were filled. After you have that you can enter it in the owner's lounge on miniusa.com

but basically as soon as you get your VIN number (I called ask mini and got mine that way, and then a day after that it showed up in the owner's lounge ) you can start tracking away. Good luck!

oh, p.s. I just got "the call" today! My MINi is being delivered to my work on friday!!! (after 7 long weeks!)
