2008 Cooper S first day!

Thanks for all the help. After 28 days, picked up the ALL dark silver S, sports susp./chrome mirror caps/spoke wheels/6-speed at Peabody Ma. (they were really good at making it fun). I have never driven a car that handles like this.Im not thrilled with the rear view mirror, but thats the only thing I can think of. I haven't had this much driving a car EVER.......Dan Faust

Congrats Dan and welcome, we all love these cars for mostly the same reasons, but what's up with the rear view mirror?

2008 cooper S-first day

The rear view mirror size creates a blind spot. Im sure I just have to adjust to it, as I stated, this car is out of this world.I drove it in pouring rain last night (salem ma) and it stuck to the road like a magnet.........gotta go, I need to drive it some more!!!......DAN FAUST

I'm about a week behind you, Dan...my Clubman was unloaded in Newark yesterday! I might even see you on the road before too long (Newburyport). Good luck!

Welcome Dan, the best thing is I have had my 07 MCS for 3.5 months and I still feel like I did when I drove it the first time.

Ding!!!! It must be a matter of personal fit, but the MINI mirror has been reported by some to be too small and/or too big every year since '02. Give it some time....I've always found them to be absolutely perfect, but that's me.

Congrats on the new addition! You get used to the mirror after awhile. gokartride is right - reports are always too big or too small...after awhile everything is just perfect. It's MiniMagic!

congrats and enjoy!

if you see a lowered BRG Cooper S with racing wheels - please wave. i'll wave back...

that courtesy is dying out a bit on the North Shore, but I kinda like it - it goes with the sh*t eating grin...

based in Wenham

cheers,

charlie

and BTW, if you want to autocross it - send me a note! it's the most fun you can have with the car while properly attired...
