My first wave drive-by. I waved and he caught up and rolls down his window and asks "Just buy it?", and I nod and say "Yes". And he says, "Mines an 07" and gives me a thumbs up. All this while driving on the interstate. Too cool!

I can't wait to get a MINI... my boyfriend (Bratticus) has one, and I've wanted one forever. We're going to 'the Dragon next week and I just know I'm going to be in MINI-heaven. I've already decided the color I want it painted, and the idea for the stripe down the center, etc...

 

LOL Good stuff I find myself tempted to wave at folks even tho I've not taken delivery of mine yet

 

A wave from Nashville

 

I got my first wave today. And an odd look from my husband when I squeeled with joy!

 

Oh jeez, I know that feeling. The camaraderie is terrific. It's like you just got placed into a huge family... and they're all really cool people.

 

Since I picked up my new MINI Friday, I've gotten 2 waves (waved back, of course), and 2 ignores . Some folks haven't been on NAM or just don't get it. Sorry that they're missing out on this "huge family." Well stated, Boostednorm!

Here is my 1st wave story. I adopted my mini, Capt'n Jack, on 01/02/09. I've waved at about a dozen or more minis in the almost 8 weeks since I've been driving Capt'n Jack, but never got a wave back until yesterday when I got my 1st wave from a silver mini with black bonnet stripes while driving home from work; the driver was a woman with white hair, appeared to be in her 50s, a very cool experience, we were both grinning like the Cheshire Cat! About an hour later, I'm walking the 3 blocks from my house to the neighborhood grocery store to get milk for supper, when a red mini comes driving down the street going in the opposite direction, and I grin and wave; the driver, another woman, waves back, big smile...then I realize that I'm just walking and I'm not in Capt'n Jack. I felt a bit foolish, but then I realized that once you are in the mini family, you can't avoid being excited when encountering another mini, while driving or walking. I love these cars!
