Out with the '69 Camaro... in with the S Clubman stick

Hi All,
From south Florida, and I just ordered a Cooper S Clubman. Astro black, with the lounge chocolate leather interior... and I can't wait till it comes in!!
I ordered a manual tranni with LSD, Prem pkg, Conv. pkg, Sports pkg, and the piano black interior. I have a 4 year old little boy, who loves the Camaro, but I think he'll love the cooper too. I have always loved sporty wagons, and I'm 6'3", so when the clubman was introduced I started looking into them. Test drove one, and ordered it.

I plan to lower it a little, and work the power train a little... and maybe do the occasional track day.

If anyone has any moding advise, let me know.

I would also love to hear about any local cooper clubs.

nice to meet you all,

Kris

The cold air intake makes a difference. There are several to choose from. The vendor directory is a good place to start. Welcome.

Wow - Congrats on the Clubman but I don't know if I would have been able to give up a 69' Camero for it. Apples and Oranges I know - but still....that had to have been a tough choice...

You're nuts. I would have kept the 69. How much did you sell it for? The clubmans' are a dime a dozen now. The 69 Carmaros' are fading into history.

meh, he can always get another. If I had to choose between the 2 for daily driving, I'd take the MINI, no question.

Welcome.

Of course it was a tough decision... but as was said, I can always build another one.
That was part of the hobby. I am a wrench turner... and I enjoy the building process.
I'm really excited about the clubman, and what I can turn it into.

Hey, I sold my '69 RS and bought an R53. I know the feeling exactly.

Be sure to drive the snot out of the Clubman!
