Can't wait to order my MINI

Hello MINI fans out there. I'm usually an impulse buyer, but have to wait to pay more off on my Subaru Outback before trading it in to get my '08 Lightening Blue Cooper S with every package available...probably October/November timeframe. I love reading about all your MINI's.

My first experience with Mini's was back in 1988. I dated a collector (has about 10 in his garage). I had the experience of going to Denver, CO back in 1989 (I think) for the Annual Mini Get-together. It was a blast and I have loads of pix still (including the 3ft long panoramic picture that I'm in twice)...LOL

Already took a test drive in the convertible and loved it. I am choosing to go with the hardtop because of our two dogs (choc. lab and doberman). I do live in CT and would probably only have the top down 3-4 months anyway.

Maybe you drove in 2001? Otherwise it would be a Mini, a world apart from current BMW produced MINIs (the caps are important).

Verts currently are one generation behind the newest manifestations, which yield slightly newer bodies and brand new Peugeot engines. Convertibles appeared in 2004-05.

We bought a 2008 MCSC Sidewalk because next year they'll be replaced with the newer Peugeot engined models. About the time you mentioned purchasing your MINI.

Our black Lab has yet to get a ride in our MCSC. Someday, maybe.

Welcome, I can understand about wanting to pay off the Subaru, however when you get your MINI you will wish you had gotten it sooner.

Well, hello and welcome!

I can relate to your story... I've wanted a Mini for about 6 years now, never thought it was the "right time" or various other things came up. I was supposed to get it for a graduation present [at the end of this year], but my hubby surprised me with ordering it for Valentine's Day.

Now she's on her way -- almost here! -- I can't believe I waited this long for her!

I purposely used "Mini" because it must have been in 1989. Maybe it was Boulder, CO. Too far back to remember, but I have the pictures! Can't wait to go back to my next MINI rally.
