I'm new to Mini. My wife and I have ordered a Clubman S in AstroBlack w/ silver roof/trim. Supposedly finishing production tomorrow (!!). Decided to trade in her '99 Beetle -- for a definite upgrade. My primary car will still be our 2003 Element... but I hope to drive the clubbie every chance I get ("Honey... I'm taking the garbage out to the curb. Can I take your car?"..)

Full disclosure: not the biggest "car guy" in the world -- but admittedly, I never had anything to get too excited about learning to tinker around, mod, etc. Just what I've researched and observed thus far, MINI/Motoring seems like a culture and lifestyle, not just a mode of getting from A-to-B. And I'm glad to read such supportive, interesting, and educational posts on here!

I look forward to absorbing all than I can before ______ gets here in a few weeks (don't have a name yet!). Hopefully, only a few of my questions will be dumb...

 

NAM is a Lifestyle that's for sure...WELCOME!!! Hope you'll share some pics. of your Clubbie once he/she arrives.
We will be taking Delivery of Molly late next week, and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

 

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your Clubbie order! Once you've driven the Clubman for awhile, you're not going to be loving that Element for very long!
