I'm scheduled for week 19 too. My MA said that there could be a 3-day delay, depending on how your vehicle is loaded onto the ship (first in, last out). I'm hoping I was the last one in of course.

 

I'm also a first time Mini owner. I've been driving pickup trucks for the last 20 years, so its going to be an experience. My current vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. Can't wait to photograph those two together. I'm 6'7", so I have a few friends that can't wait to see me in a Mini. Their typical response is...your not going to fit into that!

I was told by my MA that the Owners Lounge doesn't get updated that frequently. It still says mine is just on order. Wouldn't mind getting bumped up like some people.

Actually, I think your the only other person I've seen also go with the LB w/ Black. Maybe that's the reason neither of us have been bumped up like everyone else in week 19 it seems...

 

I'm confused - three day delay to leave port, or to process here? Does anyone know what the standard "across the ocean" time is for a MINI coming to the West Coast?

I am 6'7" also and this will be my second MINI ... had an 03 MC for 4 years.
You'll fit fine and be more comfortable than in the RAM ... guaranteed!

You are going to freaking love the MINI ... its going to run circles around the RAM ... not that it does not serve it purpose.

 

Lurch, great name. I've been called that. The truck does serve its purpose and I intend to keep it for winter driving, fishing and some occasional off-roading. Its paid off so why not. Its funny because I'm finding myself in a Mini driving mode ever since I ordered it. Makes for some wild turns in the big truck.

 

You know, I almost went with the white roof and stripes but I saw about four of those on the Mini lot. I figured the black would be more rare and I've only seen one in my area. Now if they can do something about bumping us up...

 

I just called Ask Mini and they told me it looks like I'm getting bumped up to the week of 4/27. Maybe you should check it out.

 

I just called ask MINI and found out my MINI is in production and will be completed on 5/2. Woohoo! I guess I'm a week 17er now.

 

Saturday I didn't check the order tracking all day...(I was out and about, and nowhere near a computer). I joked around that maybe I went into production and didn't even know it. Sunday I checked, and sure enough I got bumped up to with the estimate of being complete May 2nd.

I'm happy to actually have a VIN now!

There's maybe two or three left here who ordered after we did, so it might last for a while longer.

 

I started being built yesterday. I think that makes me a week 18'er? Either way, I'm happy.

Well my MINI completed production last Thursday (May 8th), so I guess that makes me week 19 ( unfortunately like many others I didn't get bumped up a week ) Also I finally found what ship I'm loaded up on, the FEDORA!!!! Too bad it doesn't say when it'll leave yet though... Any other week 19 people here and if so what ships are y'all loaded up on?

I'm new to the forum and have found it incredibly helpful. I've been checking in with the OL at least 5 times a day since I ordered my MINI on 4/19/08. Today I called 866-ASK-MINI and found out I was in Production Week 19 and that my MINI was born on 5/7/08. It took 2 days to get to the port, so it is now awaiting transport. Did my baby miss the boat?? Do you guys use the WW cargo tracking website? So far my VIN isn't showing up as in the tracking system.

This is so hard. I can't wait to start motoring.

Anyway, just wanted to say howdy and happy waiting to all!

 

Welcome Peaches!! My baby was completed on the 8th and my VIN didn't show up until today on the WW site. Then when I checked, it said that it was received the day after it was finished. Perhaps it just takes a day or two for the site to update its information. No matter what the reason though it still is frustrating knowing that your car is at the docks but no more info is available, so I feel for you. Just do what I did and check every 5 minutes , it'll show up eventually.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who is constantly checking the WW site. At least I work from home and don't have to worry about my boss peering over my shoulder. NAM or WW is always up on my screen!

Too funny that there are two super-tall folks posting here, because my husband is 6'8" and when we test drove MY MINI, he kept wanting me to pull over so he could take the wheel and "check it out". Well, by the looks of his goofy grin when he was driving, I have a feeling we're going to have "issues" once the baby arrives.

Trouble is, he just got a brand new Lexus, like, two months ago. Now he has MINI envy.

Welcome & Congrat on your new MINI from another Texan who is also waiting. I'm one of the old week 19er who got bump to week 17. Something your MINI doesn't get put on a W/W ship it might get put on a K-LINE ship, and you can't track your MINI online with your VIN# on K-LINE

 

Still no shipping info for me. AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!
