When you think about it, we should take delivery about a month and a half from now... but it seems like.. gosh and eternity! I heard from my MA that Clubman production can't handle all of the orders so they are beginning to become backed up My friends can't wait to see my Clubman (same here lol) Now I've got the neighbor into looking to buy one now!!!

Think of all the money MINI makes off of word of mouth! (And that's just from people like us who don't even own one quite yet)

From what I've heard, Europe shuts down and goes on 'holiday' for the month of August. At least we've got our orders in well before they'll even be thinking about their holiday.

I'm a week 19er too, though my MA tells me that it went into production yesterday. I've called the ask mini # a couple of times now and they still say week 19 to start production. I think that I want to just keep seeing if my MA is stretching the truth. I placed my order and got my production number on the 29th of march. He originally said 4 weeks. Any body else have this problem. I can wait an extra month, but I don't like the sketchiness.

We order a Clubman S , SS/Black roof, manual, husband wanted all the bells and whistles, so it's pretty loaded. I can't wait!

I'm curious to know, are all of us week 19ers first time MINI owners so far?

On a side note, the Pittsburgh Auto Show is suppose to have a whole bunch of MINI's right next to the stage. I'm considering going over and taking a ton of pictures just so I have a way of becoming familiar with 'em before I get mine.

I tend to really like to go over vehicles, and figure out all there is to see and know. When I test drove, I was too busy having fun seeing what it would do on the road!

I'll be a first time MINI owner. The owners lounge has my color right now so I guess it's official.

Hey ahfs1,

I am a first-time MINI owner, or should I say "will be" soon. . .

First time Mini owner here as well.

I come from a Jeep Wrangler. I love it, but the 14.5 mpg is killing me. It's been a while since I have had a sports car, and I have been dying for a speedy car again. (used to have a mustang cobra about 10 years ago) I'll be keeping the jeep for camping etc, but 80% of my driving is commuting around town.

It seemed the best choice available. Performance + fuel economy + cool factor.

cheers,

Verax

First-timer!

I've wanted a mini for a long time-- finally decided to do it, with the clubman. I can fit a person or two in the back this way, and justify it as a "family car" :

Me too --- "I come from a Jeep Wrangler"
I'm going to figure out later if I'll keep my Jeep or not...but I think he's moving into the expensive maintenance/repair stage of life. I'll figure it out once the Jeep's not my primary vehicle.
I'm sure we both have the same reasons for the Clubman, starting with the mpg!

I took a glance at the calendar, and we're getting close now. (Next week being week 18 and all) Hopefully we have something different to look at then "The order of your new MINI is in and waiting to be scheduled for production." sometime soon!!!

So. I called Ask-Mini, because I can't stop myself from dialing, and the guy on the phone told me my mini had gone into production already!! So, either he's wrong, or now I'm a week 17 'er !! (Praying it's the second one....) Do they move things earlier often? Maybe we'll all be moved earlier! (thinking positive)

I'm happy to hear that outofthebox, you must be thrilled! Is it showing up on the website as being in production yet?

No- the website still says "on order" (It's never budged, although the order specs are correct) I am thrilled, and keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else - (and that it's not some cruel joke ) Anyone need a 2003 Avalanche? Need to get rid of it sooner than I thought...

Production started already . . . . .not week 19

WHOO - HOO!!! I also just called 866-ASK-MINI and got GREAT NEWS too...my Clubman started production this morning !!!

The guy told me the "he" or "she" was "born" at 6:15 or 6:50 this morning. . .
I was so excited I cannot remember the exact time - is that bad fathering ?

So I guess I am no longer a 19th weeker?

Spent most of yesterday & all of today (so far) cleaning out the garage to get it ready. . .

Hey Bernard and Outofthebox... Same here... I called 866-ASK-MINI and the guy said that my Clubman started production yesterday and is getting prepared for paint.
So i guess I am in the same boat as you.. no longer a 19th weeker....My completion date is April 30th.. and finally the automated guy on ASK-MINI says something other than "Your MINI has no confirmed production date"
Hey well.. the sooner the better!
So what week is this considered?

It will be my second MINI.

OH YEAH BABY !

It's been 20 years since I had a new vehicle. . .

Last one: 1988 Chevy Blazer {full-size & driven for about 8 years & 125k miles} and since then it has been two used minivans
*well the current minivan is a 2002 but we purchased it "new" in 2003 from showroom...that is going to my wife's NEW car

Hi all,

Ordered my Pepper White / Black Roof and stripes Mini Hardtop on April 19. The ASK-MINI customer service person told me today that I am scheduled for week 19 production. So a big "Hi" to everyone in my production week!
