No No. I'm a woman MerBear (short for Merry) and i'm going getting a Metallic silver, black top convertible 08 minicooper. all men call their cars women so don't all women call their cars men? truthfully this whole car relationship thing is new to me. I've never parented a car before I'm trading in a chrysler crossfire for my new mini, it was an IT not a him. Guess that means it wasn't love?

Fat Tire became available in Chicago probaly close to two years ago. This was the first market that they came to East of the Mississipi. You can now find the other New Belgium beers at select locations. I've tried several that I've purschased at DiCarlo's Liquers in Mundelein. On tap you normally just find Fat Tire, but you can find it now on tap at many bars.

This news just in....

There's a MINI sitting on a dealership's lot in Cincinnati with
MY NAME ON IT !!!!!

Petronius has arrived <g>.

Now , to decide whether I can hold out until Saturday,
or do I frantically try to rearrange a Doctor's Appointment <g>
that's scheduled for tomorrow , and make a roadtrip.

To everyone else waiting patiently....
Drive by your dealer's and look for the big car hauler's...
See if your MINI has made it home <G>.

Good luck everybody. Post pictures as soon as you get them!!!

i live in norman, oklahoma. mini of st. louis was the closest dealership that would(had) any production slots left(4 weeks ago). so around 700 mi. and i dont know that its in, you got me all excited - so my reasoning was if one made cincy why not st. louis. im probably way off. but at least i smiled big this morning.

I think it may depend...

in what all needed done to yours at the vdc...

Also, Your probably a bit farther out than Cincy from South Carolina.

(Maybe I should check on mapquest <g>).

If mine squeaked thru , that tells me the vdc isn't backed up anyways.
I'm guessing you'll hear something today or tomorrow.
(You might want to start driving tonight at Midnight, just in case <g>.)
That would put you there around sunup <g>.

Good deal... Congrats.

I'll be picking up mine tomorrow.
A fellow NAM'er , BcSki, has offered to drive me over to pick mine up in the
morning. He's getting up at 5am to drive three hours to get me... then
we drive three more hours to Cincy.

That's what I call helping out a fellow MINI owner <g>.

Nancy's Ollie....

I'm guessing yours will be there this weekend. Of course, alot depends
on what all they had to do to it at the vdc. Hope things happen quicker
for you though. Best of luck.

and

Merbear,
Congrats. Remember to be gentle during the break in period <g>.
And remember , too much bouncing around will be hard on the shocks <G>.

Nancy's Ollie: I just called the dealer and asked who ever it was that answered the phone if mine was coming in this weekend. she looked it up on the computer and that was it. I don't have a lot of extras added to my mini so it will probably go faster than most.

Nancy's Ollie - I'm betting we have the same MA...
I'm getting a little miffed - I called the financing folks 3 times last week and 3 times this week - mostly voice mail (except for the one who's mailbox was full) - talked with a human once who said they'd get right back with me (monday) - haven't heard a word since. Voice mailed my MA about folks on here getting theirs - no response. I got the same "two weeks + at VDC" thing last week.
But overall, they seem to be a good dealership, especially compared to their north Atlanta Brethren. - We'll see...

I wouldn't be surprised if your dealer was also responsible for updating the owners lounge.

Unless you are getting a bunch of stuff put on at the VDC i would bet that your cars are due in by end of the week. And since i am a betting man, I bet the MA doesn't want to do the delivery on a Saturday because that his/her big day to sell, lots of people in and out... Instead of taking the few hours to go over the car with you, they just want to take new orders. I say bug the crap out of them, call everyone but your MA and ask for an update as to where your cars are at. Then tell the MA you know it is coming in and it better be ready!!!

Congrats GonePostal as the first Integrity passenger to be able to take delivery! It's great to see the excitement.

Now I need to call my MA....

Diamond Joe, what dealer is yours coming to? Yes, I had a few posts way back when, but was more active on bimmer.org (now Roadfly) then. I've not been on much until ordering my Clubman!

Jim

Good morning folks...

There's this thing I've heard of called sleep...
anyone here familiar with the concept <g>?

Hope I'm awake enough to drive home from Cincy this afternoon.
Should be heading out to my dealer sometime around 7:00 or so
this morning. I've got a small backpack full of electronics and
music, several checks, and I'm good to go.

One way to kill time while you wait for the good word from your
MA would be to prep your music selection for the drive home.

I'm still trying to decide on my main "it's mine, and I'm on the road"
song. Probably something by Springsteen, Tears for Fears, or maybe
some good old fashioned "New Wave" from the '80s <g>.

So many choices , and only one "first" song <g>.

Yup, gotta love Steppenwolf <g>...

But I'm leaning more towards "Shout" by TFF or the old standby
"Born to Run" by Mr. Springsteen.

Of course.... a bit of Celtic get's me fired up too <g>.
