Howdy and service question

Hi,

I do not yet own a MINI but I'm leaning that way. The nearest MINI dealer is about 150 miles from here. There is a BMW dealer in town. Can BMW dealers perform warranty work on MINIs? I guess what I mean is will BMW dealers handle the paperwork for MINI warranty work? Thanks for any info.

I haven't checked my local BMW dealer (3 miles away; 86 to the MIni dealer), but I recall some one here saying BMW wouldn't work on them.

My Dealership (MINI on Order) is also a BMW Dealership. Don't know how many there are. You can certainly make a phone call to the BMW Dealership and ask. All they can say is no. BUT...DON'T LET THAT CHANGE YOUR MIND!
If you've been reading the other threads you can surely tell how BIG the MINI following is. Many, me included, can't wait for theirs to be delivered. A 3mo. wait for me, I wouldn't have it any other way. Order one NOW and you won't be sorry. You may be one of the lucky ones and find what you are looking for at the Dealership 150mi. away.
Good Luck!!

Is your Mini dealership inside the same building as the BMW? My dealer is also a BMW dealer, but in a separate building.

Minidrivr it is in the same building. Rassmusen MINI, park in the parking lot, if you can find a spot, on order day we almost ddn't. Enter through the front door Financing and Service is on your Right, a small showroom on your Left, walk a few more steps thru a small hallway and VIOLA!!!
Beautiful MINI's ABOUND, they even have an OLD (Year??) one on the floor.

Interesting. My dealer is right next door to the BMW one. They told us Mini insisted on being in their own building. Doesn't sound like that is always the case.

MINI of St. Louis is in the same building as Autohaus BMW for now. I think at first they were requiring the dealerships to be combined. Now that the brand is established I think they have loosened up on that requirement.
