So how does one tell what Production Week they are in?? It is week #9 this week as far as I can tell. Does that mean if my MC goes to production this week that I am in Production Week #9??
Or what...a tad confused here.

Your MA (dealer) should be able to tell you, once it gets scheduled for production that is.

Great THANKS!
Went to MiniUSA Owner's Lounge and was kind of bumbed to NOT see my Production # yet. It kind of looked like I may have a duplicate #, is that possible??
I understand I will get an e-mail once it is scheduled, I only ordered it today...ON PINS AND NEEDLES HERE!!

The MINI site is not very current and will probably show invalid information until they actually have a production date/number set.

You can also call 1-866-ASK-MINI and bug them...like I do

Wow that is some birthday present! Loaded with almost everything!

I assume different dealers will do things differently, but on my paperwork there is a number '0810' meaning 2008, week 10.

I thought the production number was the first number they give you? That's what it says on mine...its a 7-digit number. I had to enter that number on the Owners Lounge to see my car info. It just says 'scheduled for production' now. I have yet to call them though. The MA said in a week or so I should get a production date.

Barely concentrating at work here, I've become rather OCD about NAM and checking the Owners Lounge lately. So far I've been successful at not bugging my MA every day.

Congrats on the new order. I got Geoffrey as a 24th birthday present for myself... one month before my actual birthday.

Calling 866-ASK-MINI will get you your production date. I believe it took about two weeks after ordering before I was able to get the production date (07/03/06). EDIT: I placed the order on 06/17/06.

your MA should have given you a production number the day you ordered again it could be different dealer to dealer...and in a couple of days you go to the owners lounge on miniusa.com and put it in you will be shown "on order" until your production date rolls around but definatly call 866 ask mini talk to a human and they will tell you your week
they open at 9am

Another MINI gift.... Our PW was a gift for my fiancee. It's a gift that will never go away because long after the MINI goes to another owner, the memory will remain.

Congrats !! Who is buying you this birthday gift, btw ? Bring the gift sender on here so we can say, "well done" !

Now that is a nice 45th present. I have seen a few OB coupes, but not in the Cabrio.

Post pictures when you have it to drive, enjoy the wait. It will be worth it.

I believe that just means that you have a just-a-cooper, that's the model number. That's what mine says too, but who knows.

And my car is still showing up wrong (a whopping 30 some odd hours after ordering). My MA says it can take a couple days to shake out.

I got Artoo for my 50th birthday from my wife. She wanted to surprise me with a car but my friends convinced her that buying a car for me would be a bad thing without my input into every detail. So she gave me a Mini key ring and we ordered the car together.

You are gonna love it and Motor On.

Hope I didn't start a misconception over what '0810' means...it does say that in a couple different places on mine so yeah it must mean just a MC. I probably got it confused with where he made a note for me when he looked up the week & date: '08-10 Mar. 3' - that was the build date of the car before it gets moved up to a higher priority or whatever because it is sold, which can change the date, he says.

Anyways in just a few more days I will call either my MA or the ASK MINI number, by then they should be able to confirm my production date.

I ordered on Saturday, we put in the production number when we got home because we were curious what kind of car it would've been - it was a Sparkling Silver MC. By Monday morning it had updated to Pepper White - my car! Have not been able to think of much else since then!

Yippee! Lucky you! DH surprised me with my car for Christmas...with a t-shirt, key fob and mini-Mini. It was a fun Christmas, but the wait has been really hard. But it'll be worth it!

Can't wait to see your car!

My SO RK is the MY Special Someone. I can see by my VIR that indeed the Model is 0810 Cooper. So I guess that is not the Production Date.
Oh well, I've got it ordered that it is the important part and WE will be motoring by May 15th or sooner my MA says.
