New MINI on order!

Hello all, just placed an order this weekend for my new Cooper S! According to the dealer I should get it by the end of March, I am pretty pumped. Thanks everyone for help thus far, this forum is a great resource and has helped me with alot of questions I had during the purchasing process. I got the dealer to throw in $350 worth of accessories so I figured that was decent deal. Nonetheless, I knew I wanted this car as soon as I drove it.

As Tom Petty says, "the waiting is the hardest part"

I will be waiting along with you - placed my order on 2/16. I tried my production # on the Owners Lounge this morning and it has already updated to my car!

WHM, BMac, and mello - how 'bout listing some specs on your new acquisitions?

It's hard for us addicts to live vicariously through your new MINIs without being able to form that mental image of your car, glistening against a clear sky and happily accelerating out of a mountain twisty...

(the spring fever's pretty obvious, isn't it?)

Gil-galad, just imagine a just-a-cooper with the same color scheme as Shadowfax. As a fantasy and sci-fi fan, I really like your car name and sig!

I ordered Premium package, Xenons, Multi-function steering wheel, DSC, Sport suspension, Park distance control, Cream White color line, and English Oak. I think it will be a great daily driver and can't wait til it gets here! Already planning my first major aftermarket purchases: going to cover up the leatherette with some Wet Okoles, and look for some 16" wheels.

mel, that sweeeet! You're going to have one nice ride! Your '08 is going to have me drooling over your interior choices--I think the Cream White with English Oak is an awesome combo. The Wet Okoles are a good choice too. I love mine--cool in summer and warm in winter. Order yourself some swatches and experiment with possible color combos. I wonder if a close match to the English Oak would look cool?

I see you've already found your way to the Peerage too. Well done!

My college-age daughter is the #1 Tolkien geek of the family and my inspiration. I'm not worthy to even dust her vintage copies of the trilogy volumes. If there's ever a Tolkien Jeopardy! I'm going to pay her way there and bet the house.
