Turandot
Turandot
Hi Everyone! I'm new at the blog thing, but wonder if anyone who's mini is on the Turandot now lives in the NW?
Also, does anyone know how many Chihuahuas can fit into one? It's Chi-n-Me!--three and counting!...

There is another thread within the 1st Gear area with lots of people on the Turandot. I think we started it as "All Aboard Turnadot!..." I'm on the boat and am in Arizona..... Should only be another few weeks until we have them in our hands.
Hi! How do you like your mini? I notice more of them on the road now than before. I think there are two in Eugene the same color mine will be--Pepper White--mine will have the same roof color. I wanted to drive the mini to the Al-Awda right-to-return conference in California next month, but I don't think it will get up here in time. Darn!
I've enjoyed it very much. Peppier than I expected and no problems at all. I'm very happy with it.
We have a Pepper White first-generation model down here, with a checkered roof. It looks very sharp.
I've been surprised how many Minis I've seen in Eugene. Just about every trip up there in the past few months, I've seen at least one or two.
You will find plenty of excuses to drive your new car long distances, once you have it.
There is also a Mini club that has formed in Eugene. A few of our Umpqua Mini members drove up a week ago Saturday to join the Emerald Mini club in a drive to Heceta Head. Their website is at http://www.emeraldmc2.com.

My '08 Clubman S is cruising in the Carib by now sipping Cuba Libres while the Cabana Boy is waving palm fronds over it's little body to keep it cool. Wish I were there right now.

Hi! I checked out the Emerald Mini Club website and loved the pictures. It will be fun to do short outings like that here in the NW. I already find myself waving to other mini owners when I see them, forgetting I haven't received mine yet! It has been especially fun tracking the Turandot.

I passed a Mini that entered I-5 at the Glenwood entrance the day I drove up to Portland to pick my car up. I felt like waving, but knew that in my Honda Civic, all I'd probably get would be an odd look.

On Sunday the Turandot and her cargo will be chasing the sunset into the Pacific--almost home! We all should be escorting those babies through the carib, canal and up the perfect side of the Pacific, picnicing along the way.

Thanks--I'm sure from all of us. Wish I could just go down to the VDC in California there and drive it home. Wonder if we could do that--(probably not) This is taking a long time as after my mini was built, it sat there in England for two weeks.
I have found the technical specifications for the Turandot. Try the following link to learn about the ship your Mini is on.

I love looking at the pictures of all your lovely minis--all with prettier paint jobs and jazzed up nice with sporty stripes. I needed to get a very light color so the inside wouldn't heat up quite so fast here in summer with the puppies and all, so I chose "Pepper White". How imaginative they are with descriptions...its really "dirty white" which will never look clean...kinda like the dirty-dishwater blond color my hair used to be.
Well...something like that...
